Better to break the hanger than break the bike frame

In response to other review...hangers are designed to break. If the derailleur is set-up /tuned properly they won't break unless you crash. Better to break the hanger than break the bike frame. $20 hanger or $500 frame. Hmmm, which would I rather replace? I know I broke one also (actually the one from the factory) and replaced with the one from wheels mfg. Except for color they look the same. From other review I feel a little more comfortable knowing this will break too, before my frame does, if I'm ever careless again and improperly set-up my rear derailleur. Or if I crash. Spokes and derailleurs are cheap compared to a new frame. If they made this thing out of stainless steel or titanium I would never put it on one of my frames.

Fit my bike well, holding up so far

No complaints. Fixed my broken hanger on the Focus bike. Works excellent so far.

cheap metal crap

what a huge huge ripoff!! it's practically plastic! actually plastic can be much stronger, I could break this in half with my teeth! I've already broke two of these riding and it's cost me a bundle!! the fist one broke while riding and shoved the derailleur right into the spokes of my brand new wheel, trashed it!!. I wish I could sue these guys, why can I find one of these in steel??? why would anyone want to save weight on such a small piece of hardware?? Not recommending if you want to stay alive.

Design in inverted

This is the correct #58 derailer hanger but they have the design inverted. This would fit correctly if the gears were on the left side of the bike. (never seen a bike like this). Probably just got the design flipped. This will not fit any bike that requires a #58 detailer hanger. Dont waste your money here.
