Dumb idiots can’t get it right!

This Downrod came with a predrilled set screw hole incorrectly milled on the wrong side of the holding pin, with a set screw that was too short to use, period. If you choose to ignore this, which the instructions give as an option, and set the screw against the pipe, it won’t work either, because the end of the pipe is threaded. This makes the set screw (once you go find a longer one) walk away from the center as well as push the downrod hanging ball off center. So, the I had to remill the end of the rod, which totally killed the excitement and flow of getting the fan up! Remilling meant I had to grind a flat area in the threaded end, locate and drill a hole for the set screw and then thread it...with a 6-32NC tap. Fortunately I could do all that, but I mean, what the-? It’s a $4 pipe nipple nicely bronzed and marked up to $30. For that money they could sell a pipe length unthreaded and bronzed, or silver plated, which would work better. Can you tell I’m annoyed?

Return is a pain

My only issue is that I ordered the fan and this was recommended. I knew I needed one. But I was delivered the wrong color. Once I reordered I then received 2 one was correct and the other is not. Now I have to be bothered with the return. This is a pain.

Does not match!

It does not at all come close to matching the color of the oil rubbed bronze of the Westinghouse fan. It is threaded and the fan is not!
