I've tried so many strapless bras, trying to find one that wouldn't slip down throughout the course of the day, but not make me look flat- or pointy-chested (sooo 80's Madonna). I was really really hopeful for this one. When I got it I tried it on, and it was fantastic! Pretty shape, seemed to stay up. Initial impression: promising. This was good. I decided to take it for a trial run and wore it out. It stayed up throughout the day, without me having to fidget with it and shimmy it back up like I usually do with strapless bras. I was most pleased. Later that day, I went home and changed, and my husband happened to walk in on me (yes, he still "accidentally" does that. He's sweet.) My back was turned toward him, and I heard him gasp. "What happened to your poor back??" I didn't know what he was talking about, so I went in front of our full-length mirror. I had angry red welts on my back, following the lines of where I had worn the bra. I guess the bra band had chafed against my skin.I didn't feel anything when I was wearing the bra, but when I tried to touch those areas on my back, I winced in pain. I thought that maybe they were temporary, and it wasn't the first time I had suffered for appearances (the things we do, ladies...), so I didn't think too much of it. But over the next few days, the welts didn't go away, and they've left scars on my back. It's been a few months now, so they're gradually fading. Still, I've been wary of wearing this bra, only considering it when I know it will be for a short amount of time. Maybe this was just my experience, but I'd be reluctant to recommend this to someone else. Too bad, because it's a nicely shaped bra. For reference, I'm a 34B, so it wasn't like I was weighing the bra down with the heft of my breasts. If only! No, I know, I know - everyone thinks the grass is greener on the other side...!
