Not as effective
When your child that hate’s cleaning…says mom this thing is useless, I rather pick up a broom and mop.

Easy set up
Easy to set up and use. I do have an iRobot roomba, and the roomba picks up more dust and hair than this but this item does mop as well and I’ve noticed picks up some items the roomba misses. The device still seems to be learning the house and is able to go under the couch. The wheels seem to go up and down allowing the device to get under low profile areas my roomba was unable to. I do wish I got an alert when the water was low for the mopping but other than that I’m pretty satisfied.

Can’t buy bags or boundary strips
The first couple of time I used this vacuum it did some crazy things. It was fully charged on first use but barely vacuumed anything before returning to the base saying it was done. The second time it vacuumed my entire apartment, some spots 3 or more times, before returning to the base to charge. After it was charged it sent itself back out to continue vacuuming without it being scheduled or told to do so. It’s gotten better the last few times so I guess there may have just been some bugs in the system as it learned the space? I haven’t been able to test the mopping feature yet because the company launched the product without all the necessary parts. You need some sort of magnetic boundary strip if you need to keep the vacuum out of or in certain areas. My floor is part carpet part linoleum so I would need that boundary strip to keep it from trying to mop my carpets. Vacuum didn’t come with that, and you can’t buy them anywhere. First tech support person said you can just use magnets from the craft store. Different tech person then responded and told me that was wrong and wouldn’t work. They told me the boundary strip would be available for sale later but wasn’t yet. It also comes with two dust bags, which should last a while, but you can’t currently purchase any more. Tech support said those hasn’t launched yet either. Why launch a product without all the necessary parts?

Great Value Model
This robot vacuum is certainly not the cheapest on the market, but it is one of the least expensive options that also comes with a nice dock which is a super convenient feature to have and makes it a good value buy. Having the docking station means less manual work which is the whole point of this vacuum. It also looks really sleek and makes our kitchen feel modern. I am a little disappointed that you have to buy special bags for it though rather than a plastic bin you can just dump in the trash. I thought we've moved past using bags for vacuums these days. The quality of the vacuum itself feels solid and like it is well built and ready to play bumper cars with all of your table legs. Actually, speaking of, it really does do a great job of cleaning around table legs and obstacles to my surprise which was originally my main concern. While it does do it's little zig-zag pattern, if it encounters a table leg, it will actually clean around the table leg and then return to it's normal pattern which is awesome as some vacuums just decide to hit something and turn the other way. While the obstacle avoidance is good, the feature to roll up and down bumps is ok. We have a slightly bigger curb in one of our rooms that it can't get over unfortunately. When it comes to the mat in front of our kitchen sink, it could totally roll over it if it wanted to, but the little brush on the side that sweeps things up actually gets stuck under the mat as it rolls up and it then can't go over the mat and vacuum it up. I'm also surprised that there is only one little brush on one side instead of two as it has missed some things that it then had to get on it's second pass. One other thing is that it seems to miss the area to the right and left of the docking station. The suction performance is great. We've tested crumbs and random dirt for fun and it picked it all up even at the normal setting. The mopping is alright and certainly useful but probably not going to prevent you from actually mopping your floors every once in a while. It basically uses a wet pad to mop around but there isn't any soap or chemicals involved so i feel like tough stains might not get mopped up too well. You also have to set the vacuum up for mop mode by attaching the pad and adding water so it's not entirely a handsfree process. We have rugs and carpets in some places which it doesn't really sense the difference of so we have to block it from entering that area of the house when mopping. The app is decent in terms of quality compared to some of those off-brand vacuums, but it's not very feature rich. You can start/stop cleaning and schedule it but that's the gist of it as far as i've played around. I wish the robot was smart enough to map out a room and then let you choose portions of it on the app. Or if you could manually map out a room and give it some direction. There are some ongoing maintenance costs to consider as well. You will need to buy replacement bags, mop pads, and filters. They're not pricey and it seems like it's once every 6 months or so but still something to keep in mind. Overall a great buy though for the price and from a reputable brand. This looks like their first robot vacuum so i'm excited to see what's next in line if this product takes off.
