Good luck with that
This is a very large heavy item which makes handling and storage VERY difficult. It is also very limited in capacity which is in contrast to the devices overall size. I am a family of 4 (3 skiers, and 1 snow boarder) The clam locks are not wide forcing you load the skis "mated." Depending on the thickness of your binding, you have to hold on to the skis and lift them into position while you close the clam lock. Consider manipulating the weight of 2 pairs of skis and trying to close the clam to lock. Now that you have the skis on... try to add the poles. Good luck with that. Remember this is not a roof rack where you lay the skis down and slide them into position, this is a vertical mount, you lift and hold things into position then close the clam. I had difficulty getting the snow board and a pair of skis on one side, the binding of the snow board conflicted with the ski in the space I needed to put the ski in order to have the ability to close the clam. Thickness of the skis matters, the clam is not wide and does not have much depth either. It took me 5 minutes to load this up at the house where I was comfortable and warm. It took me 10 minutes at the base of the mountain where I was cold and tired from skiing all day. (not fun) The thickness of the skis in the mated configuration put a lot of pressure on the clam lock and made it very difficult to close. Needless to say, I used wire ties to secure the clam because I did not have confidence that it hold under the stress of driving for 3 hours. The skis stick up higher then the roof line of the car so there is additional pressure from the skis and board twisting in the wind. Depending on your car, you will feel that. I saw the rack rocking back and forth at highway speed. Again I was concerned about the clam holding up under pressure. I used a bike rack to hold the ski carrier and it does not "lock" to the bike rack or car so I had to purchase a cable and lock to wrap around things to secure it. I will be requesting to return this rack. It is an expensive piece of equipment for what you get.

Worked perfectly
Took the rack on a 250 mile round trip. Held up perfectly. I was able to fit 3 boards, full size on one side and 2 kids boards back to back. Snapped on with no problem. Keys are thin but did not give me issues. You can't put a lot of force in them and you shouldn't either.

This thing is pretty awesome. Though
This thing is pretty awesome. Though, if you don't already have a bike hitch that it attaches too, it's going to be a pretty expensive setup. Same with a roof style rack though. If you don't have the roof rails you'll have to buy those too. I have it attached to a Thule Apex 4 and it works well. I took it on a 600 mile trip and it kept 3 pairs of skis, 3 sets of poles and 1 snowboard securely locked down the whole trip. I also used it back and forth from our cabin to the top of the mountain so I was loading and unloading it a lot and going up and down some really rough and twisty roads, some rough dirt roads as well, and it held it's cargo tight. I would highly recommend this product. I really liked my skis being on ground level as opposed to on the roof. Loading and unloading is a breeze. In combination with the Thule Apex, it's tilt feature makes it easy to open the rear hatch of my Jeep. It tilts down perfect, even when loaded and doesn't touch the ground.

Short one hole...
I would have gladly given five stars except I had to drill one fastener hole in the aluminum frame (apparently the manufacturer “punches” the holes and this one only had surface marks...which at least helped me with alignment). Otherwise it will function as designed

Fits great carries great
Reasonable to assemble. Holds seven pairs of skis, hard to put skis in when they have the thick one piece binding such as on rental or kids skis. Requires bike rack.

Worked great on over 1k mile trip
Worked great on over 1k mile trip. I would recommend using a Thule bike rack that has a push release to pivot backwards. It made getting into the back of our car a lot easier than a pin would have been. We used this on our 2016 Chevy Tahoe. A lot easier than climbing on the roof. Con: If your ski binding are bulky in the middle of the ski you won't be able to store a set of skis back to back. You have to put them side by side which limits the number of skis you can store. My husbands bindings do not touch in the middle and he had no issues storing is massive skis back to back.

Works great and better than having to have two whole separate bike and ski units.
Bought this so that I could simply attach it to my existing 4 bike Thule 954 Ridgeline hitch unit. A bit awkward to assemble and came missing a bolt but Thule shipped the bolt within 5 days. Fits securely once you slide the bike grips to the right spacing and I was able to use the bike rack lock cable to securely lock the two units together. Easily fit 4 pairs of skis and locked as well using the locks on it. Only challenge left is to build a secure wall mount to store it on when not in use.

Requires bike rack, could have been better designed for non-use storage
Unit attached well to my Thule bike rack. I cannot fit four pairs of skis on this unit. I spent a lot of time trying to fit four pairs of skis onto this rack, the best I could do is 3 singles per side. My assumption is they want you to put the skis back to back (or flat edge to flat edge - as you might carry them to and from the slope). Problem is they are too thick and the carrier cannot close. Further this carrier is fairly bulky and awkward when not mounted to the vehicle. With a little bit of thought I am sure Thule could have engineered feet so it could be placed on a garage floor without getting scratched. I found a remnant piece of carpet to do this but maintain it could have been built in. When mounted to the vehicle the rack is very sturdy and secure. Getting a layer of salt and sand on it made for "gritty" operation. Overall just not that impressed, fortunately we only have 3 skiers so this works for us. Price point is pretty high too considering you must first purchase a Thule bike rack. All in you're well over $500 to carry your skis.

Crazy cheap key system
This may have been 5 stars if not for my experience with the keys & locks. It was 30 degrees F, inserted the key to unlock the ski holder & the aluminum key sheered off in the lock, with very little pressure applied. That side of the carrier remains in the locked position. I went to the other side with my other key, and the same thing nearly happened. Got the key out, but was hopelessly distorted. I am going to order new keys, but am highly suspicious. Why not make steel keys I wonder. Everything else seems of high quality. This was not a sub-zero situation.

Best rack !!!!
So many reviews say it can't fit 6 skis...that's total nonsense! It can easily fit 3 adult skis per side. Just a little difficult to put together cause of poor description of parts.

Good price on warehouse deal
Good price from the Amazon warehouse, however, missing a lot of screws and others. So end up returning it as it was hard to find replacement in Canada.

really nice. Pretty big though
really nice. Pretty big though. Difficult to store as it takes up so much space. Would give 5 stars if it could fold.
