This is exactly what I was looking for for my 50 gallon tank! I went threw a couple of loud other market pumps, this is the best! If you want quiet and powerful! Get THIS ONE, STOP LOOKING

Quiet!

Bought this for a 75 gal tank running 4 bubblers and 2 other air features, we had a TopFin air 4000 that was so loud that even behind the door of the stand you could still hear it across the room. After reading the reviews was a little worried about this unit being loud also, it's not! It's very very quiet, plugged it in and hooked it up and there is only a slight hum with the door open, close the door and all you hear is the bubbles of the tank! Can't speak to the longevity of it but as far as sound goes it's very quiet! The only complaint that I have about it is that there is only 1 port on it. Not a big deal cause it has tons of output to run everything, but I had already set up with two splitters and had to do a little replumbing. Over all very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it

By no means the quietest option

I have another brand of air pump- a few dollars more but for that you get: truly quiet operation, 2 outputs and adjustable air flow. In comparison- this one just doesn't make the grade

Quiet and powerful

My old pump wouldn't get enough pressure in my deep tank. This one has air in excess! Huge difference in amount of air, and quieter than my old one. You can still hear a faint hum, but for the amount of air it produces, it's still very quiet in my opinion. I also set it on a foam block that helped keep the vibrations from echoing in my tank stand. Very happy with this purchase.

WOW just wow!!! Tetra AP150 (Lil Beast)

I was a bit hesitant to buy this product given the price point and negative reviews. That being said it really exceeded my prior expectations before reading the bad reviews. I was replacing a cheap Aqua Culture 1.5w air pump that was about half the price at my local grocery/superstore and its not only quieter than that but standing 3.5-4ft away i struggle to hear the Tetra Ap150 running over the actual aquarium noise (bubbles) so i don’t understand where people were saying the noise level is too loud. It has no problem fully aerating a 4” airstone that the previous 1.5w pump would only achieve maybe 25% aeration! This little thing is a beast and even if it only last 2 years id say thats $35 well spent on my fish!!! Its so strong it makes a ring of water displacement on the surface! If you don’t experience the same performance as I then get it exchanged because this thing works period. Nobody has 100% success rate so just keep in mind that there are bound to be a few with manufacturing defects just like ANY product and people are more likely to write a review when they have had a negative experience versus not having any issues at all. Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt!!! Also arrived two days ahead of projected delivery day!

Good pump

Really good product, however it is only 110v so had to buy an inverted to step the voltage up to 240v for uk. So really had to spend a further £30 on extra parts apart from that it is a fantastic product

Lots of bubbles but deafening when running

There must be a fault with the one that is delivered because it is hardly Whisper. I have this installed under the tank (valves installed to stop syphon) and I can hardly hear the television. It has to be turned off a night because the noise level is atrocious. Seller has suggested many things to “fix” it but nothing works. I was then asked to contact Tetra about it! It is faulty, and has been since it was delivered, no I will not be contacting Tera. It pumps brilliantly it’s just a shame it cannot be turned on for any length of time.

Not a Lifetime Guarantee

I bought this product 2 years back as I had good experience with my last Whisper 30-60 air pump and the second thing is that this product says on the packaging that it has a Lifetime Guarantee. Now the after using it for two years, it stopped pumping air. I contacted the support at Tetra and after answering all the questions they asked, I was told to replace the rubber part, and was being told that it was not covered under the warrenty. I then enquired about what is the Part No. and where to buy it in Canada, as I have searched online and couldn't find the part. I got the reply that they do not have a database of where to find the parts in Canada. So basically they are telling me that I am out of luck and this pump is garbage. The Lifetime guarantee on the packaging is misleading, if they do not cover anything that goes wrong with this product. To be fair, this pump was good when it worked and the support was prompt in replying to my email. But to go through what I have gone through when it broke down, I would not recommend this to anyone.

Good but Noisy

Great strong pump. Can blast air further to amazing heights, but people stating it's quiet, I have to argue that fact. The hum is extremely audible and I could only handle 2 days of it before having to find something else to move water in the evening. If I had a basement, not a condo, I would have set it up down there just below the tank on a shelf and let it run from there, but alas, no basement. Great bang for your buck, I plan to keep it and use it in the future but in a more sound proofed setup... If it wasn't for the noise level, it would be a 5 star for sure.

Louder than I thought

its actually noisy than their whisper quiet series. Powerful pump but boy it is lauder than my previous air pumps. I can hear it hu.ming while I am at my living room. Its overpowering sometimes specially when night time. If you can with stand the constant vibrations and humming go ahead and buy this pump. If you have a quiet air pump you will notice that this is actually noisy.
