Nice Looking, but Leaky Junk of Cheap Materials - Poor Design and Quality Control.

I really wanted this faucet set to work, because it is quite attractive and fits our bathroom décor nicely. But in my experience, it is cheaply made, poorly designed, leaky junk. Here are my complaints. 1. It leaks at the point where the drain stopper lever penetrates the plastic tail down pipe. The tail pipe is cheap plastic, the seals that are intended to seal that point are hard plastic, and the nut that secures them is cheap plastic. After three tries at assembling it “hand tight” as instructed, it always dripped water. Even tightening further with a wrench would not stop the leak. 2. It leaks badly from the point of connection between the copper tube that feeds water to the spout. It suspect this is a bad solder joint, because the copper tube is loose at this point, whereas the similar copper tube connection to each valve is rigid and tight. 3. I was still trying to work with Symmons to fix the problems until I called their customer support line. I was asking about repairs, specifically about how to remove the push-on plastic hose fittings that interconnect the valves with the spout. When I was told that those hoses are NOT REMOVEABLE once installed, and that I would need to cut the hoses, or break the plastic fittings to take it apart that I made the decision to return the faucet to Amazon. Is it a really poor design concession, in the name of a cheap selling price, that does not allow for disassembly without destroying parts. As a replacement, I’m ordering a Delta Lahara faucet set. I'm hoping that I can avoid the troubles with thatfaucet that are reported by the several 1-star reviewers of that set.

Finally - great water flow!

So many faucets on the market today have so much restriction that water flow is sacrificed. I was one of those naive people who bought a water saver faucet only to find out that after a month of use, water slowed to a trickle. What makes the Symmons faucet great is that it has great flow. This is especially helpful for people like me on well systems. The aerator strainer is also removable. So, in the event that a particle gets in the water line and to the faucet, the strainer can easily be removed and cleaned. One of the best purchases I ever made.

Cheap parts

For the price I thought this item would have quality parts and not Home Depot level junk plastic. Parts came already cracked because they were cheap plastic internals. Beware.

The faucet comes out of the box looking great, chrome finished and new

I changed the faucet in the guest bathroom of my house and installed this faucet, and it has made quite a difference. The old faucet was original to the house, and certainly took away from the sink, but with this new faucet it almost feels as if I have changed the entire bathroom. The faucet comes out of the box looking great, chrome finished and new. The installation was fairly simple, any weekend warrior should be able to make the change with some simple tools, and there are simple easy to follow instructions given with the faucet as well. This faucet also improved my water flow, and made turning the water on and off so much easier (the old one had a handle that you had to turn, which stuck at times). The faucet is easy to clean and wipe down, and looks great when you do. You will need a few tools (like plumbers putty) when you install that you may not have lying around the house, so be sure to read all the directions before you install, but this is a great way to liven up your bathroom, and give it a nice new look without changing it substantially. I think you will be pleased with this product.
