Sunex 1/2 Deep Socket Set

$120 seems way too high for sockets but I couldn't find it for less elsewhere. Sunex I've used for 30 plus years and never had any issues with them until I had to replace one I lost on a vehicle, the replacement was a 3/8 drive and they painted on the size instead of stamping the socket. Fortunately I can report these have the size stamped in them so I don't have to worry about the paint rubbing off. The case is nice but I'd rather be able to buy these without the extra money spent on a case as all sockets go on rails with clips for easy access when working. The deep sockets are 3 inches deep, double deep is 3 1/6 inch deep and I don't know what the extra deep sockets measure which would be nice to know before I buy.

The only impact sockets this professional will ever buy

I'm a diesel technician. I use and abuse my tools every day to make my living. I've owned/used impact sockets from Pittsburgh, Craftsman, Matco, Mac, Snap-On, etc. Sunex is the only brand of impact socket I will ever buy in the future. No one makes a higher quality socket. It's that simple. The sizes are laser etched AND stamped on each socket. The latches on the blow-mold case are metal instead of plastic. The black oxide finish is very high quality. The alloy is chrome moly, not chome vanadium. They have radiused corners to help remove patially rounded bolts. They're not overly thick, but don't flex when removing stubborn bolts. The prices are far less than sets of similar quality. And they come with a lifetime warranty. If you're looking for impact sockets, look no further. These are what you've been looking for.

Great set.

This is he perfect set for me. It's not easy to find an s.a.e. set 3/8 to 1 & 1/12 for this sort of price. Case is sturdy and holds sockets in place. Sockets are easy to identify and are weighted well.

Tough

My experience with Sunex sockets being a mechanic on heavy trucks for over thirty years, they stand up to the test of time, high quality, good, tough tools, have taken everything I've dished out with no problem. Would definitely buy again, good product, good value.

Seems like quality, and pretty good per-socket price for large sockets too, even though I'll probably only ever need about half of them. Having them all on hand is still worthwhile for when you eventually do run into that size you wouldn't have buying piecemeal. Made in Taiwan, not China.

Just buy em you'll be happy at this price. Using these sunex sockets for a few years now with no issues working on my personal vehicles. I've done a lot of suspension work on my 1Ton truck with these. The obvious plus is laser etching and stamping of the sizes on the sockets!
