Works wonderfully for my raised bathtub drain!

I’ve seen really mixed reviews about this product, with some saying it just floats away, or doesn’t suction unless you do XYZ, and others saying it works amazing for them. I scanned through the reviews to find why it worked for some and not for others and I think it didn’t work for some because no one’s mentioned that the white insert on the inside of the product needs to be removed first! I had the issue of just taking it out of the package and slapping it on my drain - it floated away. It wouldn’t stay suctioned and once I realized to take the white hard plastic out of it, it worked perfectly! I hope others see this review and change their minds about it not working. I’m only doing 4 stars because the little extra flap to suction down for extra reinforcement didn’t work for me! But that could also be because I have a textured bathtub where it rests. Other than that, just as advertised!

Not bad

Could be a little more suction cups than just one little one, but it does ok as an extra barrier to keep my tub from draining. My plug for the tub sometimes lets water through but I wouldn't use this by itself to replace it unless I had to. If you do, just be careful not to move it

It works…When my toddler leaves it alone.

Works as advertised, but I have to position it just right to get it to stay in place - I think it might be a smidge too big for our older tub. It’s definitely cute though - My 2 year old thinks it’s a toy and pulls it out of place, lol.

Works great!

I live in an older home that isn’t mine and there are no stoppers in the tubs! With my grands coming over I had to have it set up so they could have a bath and play. This does the trick!

This thing works perfect!! Our drain stopper stopped working in our tub and this thing has been working perfectly! I’m so happy we came across this thing until we can get the stopper fixed.

Easy to use

Before, my baths were always interrupted by a draining tub. So annoying. Then I bought this and it was a total game changer! Works like a charm and is so easy to use! No more half full tubs!

StopShroom works perfect!!

In spite all the negative reviews, I opted to purchase the StopSHROOM and give it a try myself. I placed it in my bathtub and ran enough water to cover the top of the highest point on the StopSHROOM to see if it was going to hold the water. I did quickly check the suction and it was really good. I waited 30 minutes, went back to check the water level and NO water seeped out. I am super pleased so far with the StopSHROOM!!

Easy fix for the cheap plastic tub drain plug that broke within 2 years. Can use the tub again without costly repairs.

Has to be put in after some water is in, but works.

This works great once it finally suctions over the drain. I found that I had to use my drain plug and put the Shroom in once the water covered it. When the water ran on top of it the suction let go. Once I got it on it worked perfectly. Easy to clean.

Worst product

It doesn't work, won't create any water tight seal, just sits on the top. It will be leaking from all side. Scam don't buy !!!!

Doesn't work

This doesn't work to keep the water in our ceramic tub. There is no suction and no way to get a vacuum going to help the thing stay stuck to the surface. Sadly useless. Packaging needs to be destroyed to open, so cannot return.

Can shift position and slowly let water out

Doesn't always stay stuck to the wall after... but does work well to keep water in the tub as long as it doesn't shift... very thankful to have as my built in plug with post always leaked
