Nice in photos, unsatisfying up close.

I thought I was ordering a size 9.5 mens, but received a size 12 mens due to an error in the listing. As I was unable to exchange the shoes for half-sizes, they were ultimately returned. I was looking for a nice dress shoe and really became enamoured with these, but there are two serious issues I have with it. 1.) Whoever designed these missed an opportunity to hide the zipper under the buttons. 2.) More importantly, the edge of the leather is not neatly hemmed and rolled, but instead is just raw trim. These raw edges leave the material prone to fraying and makes a choppy, uneven line instead of giving it a clean edge. It makes the shoes looks cheap, which is not what I would expect from a company of Stacy Adams' reputation and price point. I'm sure these shoes look fine for your high school play; find a better spat for your company party.

Perfect!

My original order came with a shoe that looked intentionally crushed. I immediately returned them and placed another order which came from a different supplier. Duane Shoes! You are the best! My shoes were shipped the next day and were delivered earlier than expected. These shoes are very nostalgic looking and quality made.

If the Vintage Shoe Fits

This classic Stacy Adams Madison design is a stylish step back in time, but it comes at a steep price. Vintage has its drawbacks. It's a uniquely beautiful boot, but at $135 -- there are a few major problems. First, the Stacy Adams Madison has an odd fit at the ankle and toe. You may need inserts, heel padding, or certain socks to achieve comfort and a solid fit. Secondly, the soles are extremely slick and slippery. You absolutely must have rubber added to the bottom of these boots -- which increases the price. I use Lucky Franc's shoe treads ($15). They say, "style is forever" . . . so while these spat boots come with certain challenges, they're so timelessly beautiful, they're worth every penny.

It’s a great shoe.

I Iove the shoe for stepping out on the town. They show that gangster style way of dressing like back in the 30’s 40’s, 50’s.

Nice shoe but smaller then actual size and the finish was a 2 out of 5

Sadly the shoes were very small for the size, very narrow in the toe and the outside had lots of blemishes in the leather. Sadly they were to refund me my money for the return shipping and i have not yet seen it... Honest review for your product regardless of that fact. I would not recomed. Find a Shoe cobbler and get them to Sew white spats overtop of your boots. sadly the days of craftsmanship is gone... now we need to relay on China trash.
