Blending Hues

This paper is great. The oil pastels adhere and blend perfectly. The paper is sturdy enough for blending and scraping and scratching.

Watch for holes in your canvas

First time, I was sent the wrong item and had to return it. 2nd time I recieved the right item, but one of the canvases had a rip/hole in it. Luckily the other one didn't but I felt nervous like was going to rip a hole in it at first. When I got to transferring the image through graphite paper onto canvas, I made one small hole, like a pin size. Painting on it was fine, because it felt like with enough turpentine/ mineral water (?), it glides easily. Though I would fix how tight you tied the canvas on the wood so it's not so loose in the middle or above or below. Ok for beginners and causal but if looking for.better quality maybe find something else.

Visible horizontal lines on canvas surface

No matter your level of painting experience, you invest time into your artwork. Do not waste your money on this flimsy canvas. The stretchers are thin and lightweight, so much so that the canvas requires a back wood strip center support, which unfortunately makes imprint marks going right across the center of the canvas front. These lines will still be noticeable as you paint over it. I recommend buying instead canvas board or paper, use masonite board you prep with gesso, or pay a bit more money to buy a better quality canvas.

Affordable Stretch Canvas

Cheap and cheerful

These are cheap quality, so really for kids or artists working out ideas / sketches. I put 3 coats of primer on to toughen up the canvas, and they are holding up ok. Wouldn't buy again.
