Hat is way too small. Materials are average department store costume quality.
The hat hardly fit over my kid's very average sized head and there is no padding behind the giant plastic eyes. The fasteners on the backside of the eyes will leave marks on your child's forehead and be uncomfortable. Gave an additional star because the design is very cute and the quality is exactly what you'd expect.

Head piece too tight; still super cute
As others have mentioned the hat was too tight for our two year old. He was able to wear it without the Velcro under his chin so we still got the full turtle effect. We bought green sweats for him to wear under the costume and he was super comfortable on Halloween.

Cute turtle
Costume body fits great on our 2 year old. Thought it was a romper but it’s not snapped at the crotch. Just open like a shirt. Velcroes at the shoulder. The head piece runs small as our son has a smaller than average head and it is a little snug on him. He looked adorable in it and would recommend!

The hood was too small and the costume reeked of chemicals
This arrived close to when we needed it, so I modified the hat (by cutting it open and sewing in a 3-inch wedge of felt in) to fit my turtle-obsessed toddler with a very normal size head. I also aired it outside for a few days to reduce the strong chemical stench that came from the costume. Since then, it has gone through a gentle cycle in the washer just fine without falling apart. It's cute, but had significant issues.

Turtlelly cute!
The shell is a little short considering it is supposed to be a toddler size that I ordered, but we will definitely make do thanks to it's cuteness!
