Kinda heavy shoe, but truly comfortable in all regards.

Sturdy and long lasting

My previous pair of Ropers I had for several years, and the leather was still in good shape (with cleaning/treatment annually). I only had to replaced after the others were destroyed. The soles are heavy, and have good grip on snow and ice. Comfortable to wear working the farm all day long.

Feel sturdy but rip easily

These shoes felt sturdy, but heavy, at first. You can walk over any surface and not feel a thing. The only problem is the stitching on top, near the elastic bands, has already ripped out after a dozen easy wears. These are supposed to be tough, boot-like shoes, which certainly suggests they can withstand a dozen days of teaching English. Unless they are willing to replace them, do not buy these. I will update if they do the right thing.

Color

Shoe leather is textured and has a red tone. The color does not match the picture. Not what I thought I paid for.

Tough durable shoe, hard sole, very little cushion

I like the shoes, and they fit well, but they do not have much cushion and you definitely will need to add some sort of insert which may negatively affect the fit.

Heavy Shoe

Was not sure what to expect but it is one of the heaviest shoes I have had. Continue to wear them as I wait for my custom orthotics to be made. Maybe will fit better then.

Ropers are good quality, fit and last. They feel good and stand up. I have had a few pairs of them before and will buy again. I have tried others that said they were just as good. They were not even close to Ropers.
