Good product for the price
I had a lawn service come and install a couple for me as I had never had a sprinkler system before. After watching them do a couple it was like why should I pay these guys again when I can do it myself. Sure enough a few weeks later I needed to replace another one. Simple enough to do and I saved myself money by doing it myself. Won't ever hire anyone for this again.

It pops up; it sprinkles AND installs easily
I like getting what I paid for, and this item comes through with that with aplomb. It's a lawn sprinkler that you install into your existing sprinkler system without hiring a technician (unless you need someone to dig the hole). About the only thing tricky about this is that this item is a 180 degree sprinkler, not a full circle, but a semi-circle, - so you have to point it in the right direction on the final turn when you screw it onto the fitting kindly provided by the sprinkler system's plumbing (1/2" fitting). It's a great feeling, and your grass will thank you also.

MP hunter sprinklers are better
I got these for the side yard and I am very disappointed with them. First, they dump way too much water all at once. Secondly, about a quarter of them are leaking which means I’m going to have to dig them out and replace them. Even though I don’t like these sprinklers, I tried to order more to make replacing the sprinklers as easy as possible. Now I can’t even buy them because they won’t ship them to my address which is the first time this has ever happened and I’ve been a very frequent Amazon shopper for roughly a decade now. I didn’t even know this was a thing. I used mp hunter sprinklers for the rest of my yard and they work flawlessly. I only had one leaking sprinkler. If you’re looking for sprinklers for a narrow strip, there’s mp hunter sprinklers that will shoot 5’x15’. I would have definitely used the hunter sprinklers instead of the rain bird ones had I known about them when I was setting up my sprinkler system. I gave two stars because they do wet the ground.

BETTER COVERAGE
We have two extensive irrigation systems. These heads reach at least a little farther than any impact design or brand we've tried (of many), and also cover the ground more evenly (whereas impact types often fail to distribute well across their full radii). They've worked well on 4-ft stanchions for years now... and I'm gradually replacing our buried impact heads as opportunities arise.
