Just beautiful! Ideal for salt dough ornaments

I got these to make salt dough ornaments for the Christmas tree and these cookie cutters were absolutely perfect! I really love that they come in such different sizes with the biggest cutter being as big as my hand (much bigger than I had expected). That way, I could put the smaller snow flakes on the top of the tree and the big ones at the bottom. As you can use the smaller snowflakes and the three separate little cutters to cut parts out of the big snow flakes, this gives you a lot of variations. With salt dough, one can make really fragile and complicated ornaments with these cutters. I have not used the cookie cutters for making real, edible cookies. I guess if one uses dough that rises even a little bit, some of the nice details of these cutters might get lost. I would think that the resulting cookies would still be very beautiful and special. I am sure that we will be using these cutters a lot for future Christmases.

Pretty snowflake cookies!

This set has 5 cutters- 3 are snowflakes of different sizes, and the other 2 are "detail cutters". The snowflake cutters are nicely done, and look decorative and festive with no additional work, except perhaps some icing. The "detail" cutters are mostly going to work only with the largest snowflake cutter. It would have been nice to have another small one that would work with at least the medium snowflake. All the cutters are sturdy and well-made, and the box holds them nicely.

Cute for the holidays!

Super cute for the holidays! Remember to hand wash as recommended by the seller. One reviewer noted that the Polish/finish started to come off when she put hers through the dish washer. Also I love the container it comes in, perfect for easy storage so you don’t lose the little decorating pieces.

seem nice and sturdy

seem nice and sturdy. i washed 2 times already and see no rust. have only used the middle size, but they did fine. i did try the smaller of the two tools to get more intricate cookies, but that did not work so well for me. as the cookies baked and rose a little they lost the crisp lines/shape. perhaps allowing the cookies to bake for a few minutes to set up and then quickly doing that before baking the rest of the time would help. anyway, am pleased w the purchase. love having a storage tin for them too

Very versatile

There is a lot of versatility in this set! The two large flakes are about 6 inches across, which seems large for cookies, but by the time you remove the shaped cutouts, it is really a reasonable volume of cookie to eat. The point flake is a perfect size and the two smaller flakes make nice filler. There are 3 small shapes for cutting designs inside the 3 largest flakes. They are a nice compliment. I wish there were two more varieties, but the three worked quite well. This is a good buy.

Highly Recommend! Super Versatile!

These work wonderfully. They give nice clean shapes and hold up really well. I have had them for over a year now and love them. I use them for cookies as well as for cutting fruit shapes. They cut through pineapple without any issues at all. With all the included pieces you can make any snowflake you want. I would recommend this product for any kitchen because of the versatility of the metal and how well it holds up to all different food products.

I celebrate Christmas for the cookies

when you bake off a batch of these cookies, they are quite the showstopper! Sure, it may take 10 min to decorate one cookie, but it's worth it. The people who get these "Martha-esque" cookies have to be pretty special. Just don't use a recipe for pouffy cookies, the cut-outs won't be as noticable. I love to also gild them with gold and silver dragees, you know, those little metal looking balls. They say you should eat them, but hey, I've put worse things in my mouth.

Tricky

I used these with my regular sugar cookie recipe and they baked out to a big blob. I will try to use another recipe and hope they come out as pretty as the picture.

Excellent service and product!

I'm VERY impressed! I ordered this two days ago and chose the cheapest and slowest delivery option.. yet it arrived today! The cookie cutters are presented in a lovely way- with a Chrismassy bow tied around the package (perfect for a gift!). There are 5 different shaped and sized cutters in total, plus three small shapes for cutting out little sections of a big cookie to make a snowflake with holes in it. The cutters themselves seem to be very sturdy and good quality, and they make wonderful Christmassy biscuit shapes! Now i'm just waiting to ice my snow flake cookies. VERY happy buyer!!! I'd definitely recommend this, 100% satisfied.

Great product

Three good sized cutters (large for more impressive work, smallest for tops of mince pies etc). You can make your snowflakes as plain (simple snowflake outline) or as decorative as you like, using two or more cutters for more intricate designs. Great product in a handy storage tin. Would recommend.
