Good for repairing an old John Deere backhoe gear change linkage

I bought this because the threads matched the size of the ones I pulled off of a backhoe, inside the center console. The tie rod ends are on both ends of the rod that controls the forward reverse switch / mechanism from the hand control. I tried finding something like that at the local automotive stores and tractor supply, but no one was able to even order it. I only repaired the machine, but everything seemed good. It was a much better price that getting it from the John Deere dealer, which is the one place I always try to avoid, even when I am not paying.
