Nice quality cooker. bottom is INDUCTION possible with safety issue.

Nice and INDUCTION top possible . con: MAJOR SAFETY NEED TO BE FIXED. as everybody keep the pan on oven to heat , if you are using it just for frying, the bottom handle plastic melts and become lose to the whole handle assembly. If the bottom is shackie and not fitting as whole assembly it is uneasy to tight the whole assembly which can cause whole safety issue in pressure cooker. The designer need to keep a soft metal between the main stainless steel and plastic handle so the heat is not transfer to plastic handle also soft metal (non-heat conducting metal) help the screw to tight. Indian engineers thing ahead ever you tested on oven top? Any women engineer working in your design team? Designing pressure cooker is not like buggie outsourced code which blow the server. This is safely issue of family.

Loved it and used it a lot

Loved it and used it a lot. The lid does however need to be pressed down while closing it. Not any issue at all. The quality of material is excellent, its great quality steel, easy to clean and looks pristine. Size is large and good for making vegetable curries or dals. I like the shape of the pan as it helps saute things easily. But after a while the gasket has become disfunctional which happens with most pressure cookers. But I have not been able to get a gasket of this size and this is preventing me from using this cooker. Overall great product and I would buy it again.

Bad Quality Lid, several factory dents on arrival!

I've posted pictures of the item immediately after unboxing. The lid is of poor quality and is not the same gage of metal as the body. I told my wife to not use it as I'm not confident about it's safety. Looking on the inside of the lid, the embossing of the two logos on the outside of the lid has dented the lid on the inside. If you can zoom in on the pictures, the bottom center parts of the images show the denting. After much discussion with the wife, we decided to send the item back immediately as I didn't want to take any chances.

Satisfactory

It has good weight. Thick enough bottom but it has thin sides. Uneven heat distribution. Sides are staying warm enough to touch while the bottom is too hot. Food is getting burned in the bottom.

Useful pressure pan

My two other pressure cookers are cylindrical and accommodate stacked inserts (so I can use them to pressure-cook several items at a time). This pressure cooker is a pressure pan, not designed for stacked inserts. I knew this when I bought it so I was not disappointed, although like other reviewers, I found this pressure pan somewhat smaller than expected. But it's a great size for about 2-3 cups (uncooked) of most dals. I like that you can prepare your sauces or spice base, add the uncooked lentils and water, and cook the whole thing directly in the pot. It also comes to full pressure very, very quickly. Overall very sturdy and cleans nicely in my dishwasher.

cooks just fine...

I use this for cooking lentils, beans etc and it cooks fine. My only concern is this might not be exactly stainless steel, as stainless steel would not leave blotches from the steam or the food item. Also, the edges of lid is quite sharp as if it wasn't smoothed out. Adequate for my needs.

Took a while to get but that’s life these days since Covid began. Excellent product to have. My mom uses it often to make her meals vs using her bigger pressure cooker

Good quality pressure cooker

Happy with the product. I was looking for one that was shallow enough but had wider bottom and the prestige 4ltr cooker turned out to be a perfect option. It is easy to clean, food does not stick to the bottom provided you do not keep it on high flame.

Excellent size pressure cooker

Excellent size pressure cooker. I cook for a family of 4 and this is perfect. Very quick and easy to cook a whole bunch of different foods. I'm new to pressure cooking and I'm now a huge fan. I can also recommend the book "225 Best Pressure Cooker Recipes" (sold here on Amazon), full of really easy, fast and tasty ideas.
