Toddler loves it

My daughter wanted this for Christmas and really enjoyed it for the first week or so. She is 3 and a half and some of the features are hard for her to use, like the soft serve press or sprinkle maker. The main press is kind of difficult to clean, there has been so much dough that gets left out and dries in the crevices. The sprinkle maker is the hardest to clean. It has held up and has a decent amount of features though ours did come warped so the door doesn’t close all the way.

SO CUTE but a pain to put together

This is so so cute. All of the little details and things you can make with it are adorable. My 2 daughters (ages 4 and 9) have been playing with it non-stop since I assembled it. But it suuuuuuuucks to assemble. If you’ve ever bought toys from one of those brands like “American plastic toys” from the back aisle of gordmans or tjmaxx because you found a toy doll crib for $18 and it seemed like a great deal, til you got home and realized you had to put together 8,000 plastic pieces… this feels like that experience except more annoying because it’s not some random obscure cheap brand, it’s play doh, and this toy isn’t cheap. Usually I assemble their larger Christmas presents ahead of time because it’s more fun for them on Christmas morning, but I already had multiple things to assemble for Christmas and decided to give this to them wrapped still in the box, thinking it would be quickly popping a few big plastic pieces together for them to play. Wrong. It’s in a billion pieces. And before clicking those billion pieces together, you’re screwing the brackets onto each piece that allow you to click them together. So if this is a Christmas or bday gift, and you’re like me and prefer to be super prepared and build everything ahead of time so you can enjoy the day, do yourself a solid and assemble this early. Otherwise no complaints. Kids are obsessed. Comes with TONS of accessories and a lot of playdoh.

Mess, mess, mess!

So I've never strayed from playdoh but for the price this is a waste. The icecream maker handle feels like it will break any second. I just push the entire lever down instead of just by the handle. It takes force! Kids will need help. ALSO, this is played on the floor!!!! So no table clean up this now gets playdoh in your grout, between floor boards AND smushed all over the kids pants as they smush it into the floor. I just moved it to the garage and if it ends up near the trash it won't be soon enough!

Great product, weird packaging

Love the product but the way this was packaged was kind of weird. It was a mess. Parts (and there are a lot of them) were just kind of shoved into the box in a kind of unorganized way.

Differing items

Apparently this comes as an ice cream truck or a cupcake decorating truck. However, both are called ice cream trucks. I admit I didn't check the individual items included closely. We got two cupcakes and a bunch of cookie cutters. No ice cream cones, sundae dishes, spoons and no ice cream scoop. The soft serve/frosting dispenser is too hard for our 7 year old to fill by herself. We are hoping with use it gets easier and operates smoother. You don't want to wrap the box as the gift. The pieces are not labeled making assembly difficult. Three adults, one interpreting the instructions, one finding parts and one doing the actual work took an hour to get it together. No small child is going to want to wait that long after unwrapping the box. Lastly, the lid for the little compartment on the end is warped and does not close completely. Not a good look on a brand new toy.

Kids love it. Was a pain to assemble.

My kids live it so I’m overall happy with the purchase. It’s cool and fun and I love that it plays music and has a little fridge compartment to store the play doh. But the soft serve ice cream lever is so hard to pull down, my girls are always getting frustrated because they can’t do it themselves. Even as an adult, I gotta push mighty hard to get it to come out. I didn’t assemble it, my fiancé did. But it took him a hot minute and he said it was a pain to put together
