Same old style of crate with the same old problems
I loved the idea of this crate years ago when I purchased 2 which quickly fell apart almost rather quickly. I resorted to using zip ties for years to hold them together. I recently trashed both of them and stupidly assumed that after 14 years the kinks were out of the product. Nope! This crate will work for my now very old dog because he is familiar with the crate. However, I still had to wrestle with it to put it together and one of the latches has already had to be reseated. This crate is ok to assemble and let stand but I would not expect it to hold up if you travel with it.

Need to be able to latch doors with one hand
As a concept this is wonderful. I love the garage side door idea. It would be perfect to have on the back seat of my car and let the puppy have air-flow and easy side access. However, in real terms, the plastic clips are too flimsy, they come out and can get lost or eaten by a dog, and they require two hands and effort to get just-right to latch. My puppy does not walk in the crate and wait so I need to be able to keep a hand on her and/or be holding my other dog in a leash at the same time that I'm shutting a crate. I want to like this product but I'm returning it because the downsides are things that I'd be fighting with every day. I was not planning to fold the crate but for those looking for that feature, I think it would be good for periodic travel, but not for daily use like taking to a daycare. It simply isn't sturdy enough for all the assembly and disassembly and I think the parts would break down very quickly. Maybe they tried to do a bit too much and it would be better to make a sturdier crate with a garage door as a separate product from a travel crate and put the extra weight into better hardware design.

Very difficult to assemble, latches are very difficult to use
Very nice once you get it put together. Nice carry bag but will never use it because I will never take it apart. All of the latches are very difficult to open. The latches on the one side panel are almost on the floor. As long as you do not latch the top that opens, it is a very nice feature. I would buy again if the instructions were better, add some color, be sure to emphasis those 2 clips that hold up the one side panel and mention it definitely takes 2 people. Maybe if you used a knob to work the slide that opens and closes the latch, it might work better.

Not a great travel crate
Bought this to be a travel crate - not FOR travel in the car, but to use for when we’re traveling on the road in hotels, etc. Unfortunately there were a few issues/ - this crate is much harder to set up / break down than a plain wire crate - the crate is heavier than a wire counterpart (thought the plastic would help that but it didn’t) - the buttons to open / close doors are not easy to use - took me approx 5 mins to open one - there are gaps in some of the corners that are concerning for a dog that sometimes likes to scratch at the crate - eg they could get a toe or toenail caught - the crate isn’t contained when folded (without the included bungee cords) - instead it is intended to be placed in the included bag Therefore sent the crate back since I need something less cumbersome for when we’re on the road.

Great Crate but the Plush Pad is a JOKE
I purchased two 27 " crates for my two yorkies. The side doors have latch locks that are really hard to lock and unlock which is good since you don't want them opening accidently, just make sure they are securely locked so the crate does not collapse on your dog. There are also plastic latches on the back cage. On both of the crates the latch on the left side was impossible to move and they were bent. We had to use a screw driver to loosen them a little so they would move. The reason I gave this crate 3 stars is the "Plush Bed" is a complete joke and a replacement is proving to be impossible to find. I have pillow cases that are thicker then the sad slip of cloth they put in the crate. We purchased these for a long trip and had to fold up a few blankets to put in the crate to give the dogs some padding. I have no idea why they even bothered to include the pads. Our next challenge is trying to find pads that will fit a 27 x 18 crate. It is definitely not a standard size

Not as easy as it looks.
I love the size. I like the concept. I transport for rescues and I don't think it would holdup to that kind of constant use.

Could not See Dark Directions, And One Step Left Out
The instructions do not include some of the pieces and how they work. When I pulled it out of the box, some of the fasteners had already fallen off. Unable to stabilize the side opposite the garage door style side, and there was no instruction on it. By the time I broke two fingernails, and one handle kept falling off, and one side wouldn’t stabilize, I gave up. Had it worked? It seemed fairly light, and the way it folds is ingenious. I probably would have liked it. It comes in a neat carrying case, it folds down to a storable size. If they make the fasteners stay on, tell you how to stabilize the back door and lighten the pictures on the instructions so that you can see them and tell you how to stabilize the back wall, then this would be pretty cool.

HUGE DISAPOINTMENT!
I was so excited about this crate for my chihuahua. The first thing I noticed when it arrived was the damaged box. Once I took it out of the box, the bag was definitely a used bag. The paint on the bag was chipping off and very faded. The crate looked used as well and it was extremely difficult to put together with terrible directions. It didn’t feel stable or safe. It was also very difficult to un clip the hooks to open the doors. My chihuahua was also extremely afraid of all of the noise the clips made and she was petrified of the garage door. I was beyond disappointed on the quality of this product and the fact that I think I got a used product. Used or new, I do not suggest getting this crate for your dog.
