We love this seat!
Our 14 month old absolutely loves going on bike rides in this. We put it on the front of his father’s bike. We will actually have to buy a second one for my bike because when his daddy isn’t home he goes to the garage door where the bike is and cries to go out. We HIGHLY recommend this seat!

Best bike seat
We have been using it for the last 2 years for our toddler. We bought it when she turned 1 and still use year to date. Very safe and high quality

Perfect for my petite little one!
We bought a different, and nearly twice the price brand that installs on the rear of the seat at first.. my curious kiddo hated being in the back. Total waste of money… then I found this peg perego one and we absolutely love it! My little has been using it since she was 9 months old. She is so calm and content getting to see everything. The seat is petite like my little one and it fits her perfectly. I’m not sure how great it would work for a super chunky babe. I like that it’s not big and bulky, i don’t have to pedal awkwardly to avoid hitting my knees on the seat, it adjusts forward pretty far. The color is great too, it matches the green pinstripe on my Specialized bike. And the install was pretty quick. We got this the day we left on a camping trip, and I installed it myself while my husband set up our campsite. I’ve recommended this seat sooooo many times in other moms groups I’m in. We love love love it!

Almost perfect seat. Hard padding, legs are angled weird.
I tried three different seats for my Scott mountain bike. 1. Ibert safe t seat- this was the easiest to install and would probably grow with my daughter the longest, but it lacked back support, shoulder straps fell a lot, seemed like a flimsy way of securing the seat to the bike, there was a lot of wiggle in the seat because it was only connected to the bar by one cotter pin. 2. Thule Yepp Nexxt Mini- this would’ve been my favorite seat. It was so Light weight and well made. Unfortunately my ahead stem diameter was too large for the mounting bracket. Even if I could have gotten it to mount, the feet of the seat landed exactly where my fork was. My bike was just not compatible with the seat. 3- brings me to the Orion seat. Third time is a charm. This seat seems smaller than the previous two. I doubt I’ll get as much use out of it due to that. But the way it mounts to my bike seems extremely secure, it comes up high enough to provide some more back support, have built in suspension to help absorb some bumps. The shoulder straps stay in place. I do bump my knees in this seat ever so slightly where as the ibert I did not at all, but it doesn’t bother me and I don’t have to ride bow legged. The cons I see with this seat is the padding is a bit firm, it does affect my ability to turn my handlebars, and I don’t like how the legs on the seat are splayed outwards, it seems like an uncomfortable and unnatural way for a young baby to sit (well really for anyone to sit like that), but I figured for the amount of time my daughter will be in the seat I’m not too concerned. So I reckon this is the seat I’ll keep.

My daughter loves this
My daughter is always asking to ride daddy’s bike now and loves this seat. She can see the world and we like how sturdy it is. Beware of the weight limit at only 33 lbs as many kids grow out of it quickly. Also, if you’re tall this might be hard for you since it limits your leg space in front. My husband is 6’2” and says it can be difficult to put his leg down quickly for red lights. Installation was a beast for me and even it took time for my husband so be prepared!

OK front mounting seat
I'll start with how much I love that this bike seat is up in front. It's also very sturdy and my 1 year old seemed comfortable in it. The feet adjust easily, she straps in easily and the little bar in front also unsnaps easily all while still making me feel safe about riding with my daughter. My husband took a bit longer than I expected to install it, the instructions are not the greatest and are pictures only so he found a video or two to help but it wasn't terribly difficult. There are some negatives though. I am a smaller built woman (5ft 3in) and it was a little difficult to pedal with the seat in place, I accommodated and we did just fine but I can't imagine it working well for a larger adult or child. Also, even after adjusting the child seat back as far as I can when pedaling my daughters knees tap my handle bars if I turn too sharply, I make sure to put my hands above her knees to buffer when I have to turn like that. My daughter is only 1, so I can't imagine putting a child much larger in this seat. All of that being said, I read many of the reviews on this seat before purchasing and many others did not have my same experiences so it may also be my bike which is a beach cruiser style. Overall I am glad I made the purchase given the reviews from other front mount seats.

Nice product. Make sure you fit
It's a good quality product. My daughter loves it. Do yourself a favor and get a deep well socket set for installation. The little wrench provided does the job but doubles installation time. Also, set up the mounting brackets as low as possible on the headtube of your bike. I needed to change to a riser bar to keep my chest from hitting. Which comes to fit:. She's not 2 years old yet, has plenty of room on the weight limit, but at 26 inches tall, her torso is getting her up too high to fit well. I'm using Mountain and or cyclocross bikes here and I do believe a more upright hybrid or beach cruiser would extend the fit time. Having the extra weight in an odd place on the bike can throw your balance off so I suggest lowering your seat post a bit for clearance and doing some practice in the yard before hitting road or trail. It's quite a secure unit. I have no problems on farm trail and gravel road. Only very gentle single track tho. It bounces the kid around pretty hard when it gets bumpy and once again, if you aren't used to it it can throw off your balance and no one wants that on a trail with their child right in front.
