Fractions
I love this "game". My kids love solving the puzzles and doing fractions without even realizing it. They even took it to school for a week to help some kids who were having trouble visualizing fractions. Easy clean up too. Win. Win.

addictive and educational!
My son adores this and has spent hours playing with it (first with me talking him through the concept of how two fractions can take up the "same amount of pie" and then letting him figure it out by himself. He enjoyed the challenge of the cards which gradually increase in difficulty and the set made it easy for him to visualize and absorb equivalent fractions and reducing them to their lowest common denominator. (He already knew how to work this out on paper, but this "game" made the meaning really come to life). Yes, some of the cards can be solved in more than one way. That doesn't mean that the only correct way is the solution shown on the reverse side of the card. Figuring out more than one solution available for a puzzle card is where the learning really begins, and my son particularly liked trying to work out all the varying configurations that could be found once the puzzles got more complex. I would recommend this this for grade 2-3 students.

Six Year-old Loves This Fractions Puzzle!
My 6 year old grandson loves this puzzle. Brings it everywhere. He loves math and this puzzle makes learning fun.

It's ok.
The product is very much like the picture. If your child loves doing puzzles, this product would be fabulous! If your child doesn't care too much for puzzles, this might be more brain racking for you because it turns into an argument when it doesn't work out because there is just a little space or when they try to shove it in just a little to fit. I have the most difficult time explaining to my child that it's not right when it looks right to him.

Nice organiser too
The foam is thick enough but the challenge card cannot hold in place. Keep falling down. Overall it's quite a hands on learning experience. Nice organiser too, easy to clean up. But if you have worksheets, it's enough to just get the foam pieces.

Fun even for <4!
Excellent, our nearly 4 year old loves the "pizza puzzle" and will definitely grow with it. He can already build full shapes and understand when the circle is nor full or over full. We look forward to teaching him the math behind the shapes.

Fun and useful
My 7yo son was struggling with understanding fractions. This toy/tool made fractions click in his brain almost immediately. I like this tool because it is open-ended. The pieces can be put together in many different combinations and therefore show the relationships between the fractions.

Confusing
This toy is attractive, and the colored pie "slices" are good graphic representations of fractions. However, the solutions to each puzzle are confusing. There are several ways to solve each puzzle (four quarters make a whole, as do eight eigths, ten tenths, etc.), but the solutions cards each only show a couple of solutions. My nephew got very discouraged, because his solutions never matched the ones illustrated. He kept thinking that he was getting the wrong answers, and it was hard to convince him that his answers were just as valid as the ones illustrated. It might be best to ignore the solutions.
