Works very well, good for price

Boils water with a 1000W heater and the glass body makes it easy to see what's happening. Easy to pour spout, and easy to fill. Checked with a killawatt. Also good to be able to separate the kettle from the base when serving to keep the cord from getting in the way, and the bottom is not hot, unlike a kettle. After over a month of use. If you make one 10 oz or less glass of water for tea, it takes less than 1-2 min to get a roiling boil from cold tap water. If you fill it to the max it takes about 10min or so for a roiling boil. For a single serve, it will be ready as you prepare your tea leaves or chocolate with no noticeable wait. The base is a soft and flimsy and takes getting used too. The plug is stiff and takes a while to soften otherwise it tend to spin and move the base too easily. There is no buzzer, whistle, or warning when the water is done, a switch clicks and the lights go off, so if you leave it unattended you don't know when it stopped heating and it won't restart unless you press the On button again. The good news is if the kettle doesn't restart when you switch it back on, its still nearly as hot as a roiling boil, if it switches on, it won't take long for it to reach a roiling boil while you watch it. Would buy again.

Wonderful product!

We love pour over coffee, so I run 2 batches on days that I have time to make coffee. It heats very quickly, much faster than stovetop, and the blue light is really lovely. I love it! We read the reviews about the plastic odor, and so we took the precaution of washing it, running the first batch using vinegar water, and then washing it again. The "plastic" smell is just a new smell, which quickly went away, and never effected the taste or quality of the water. I would recommend it to everyone. I would recommend adding water by a pitcher or other means rather than holding it under a faucet in order to prevent water dripping down the side and onto the base.

Amazing water heater

This heats up water to boiling so nice and quick. I use it to heat water to warm up my son’s bottles and it is so nice to have hot water fast because when he is hungry he is not a happy guy. I also love that it has a strainer at the poor so that if I want to make tea directly in it I don’t need to use a different product to strain the tea out. Just pour and enjoy!

This little kettle is beyond awesome. I got it for my French press (my main way of making coffee). My brother loves it for his instant noodles. My mom uses it to boil water without heating home. Wonderful kettle. Love the color. Such a good buy.

I just love my purple kettle

I should have bought one of these years ago, and whenever I focus on it, it brings a smile to my face. It turns itself off right after it gets a good rolling boil. I use distilled water as I do in most machines that get covers of calcium on them. I even use it to put a little water in my Waterpik since the rest of the water in it is room temperature and I like it warmer. Distilled water really makes things last longer without clogging or coating.

Inexpensive but great electric kettle

I had no idea how to choose an electric kettle. I was skeptical because the price was so good. My sister actually had this and recommended it. My family loves it. We've owned it for four months and use it almost daily. It's more convenient than heating water on the stove, and it's kind of fun to watch (lol). Heats up quickly and turns off when water reaches the right temperature. Bought a seond one to gift my other sister.

I bought this bc I braid hair at home and when I say it’s the truth no more boiling water on the stove and using a kool aid jug to dip hair in anymore… the only con I can say about this is I wish the lid was wider but I love it
