Build quality seems great but arrived D.O.A.

ZERO - 0 - STARS ????. DEAD ON ARRIVAL. I own many different brands amp clamps, and use them daily with a dvom, graphing meter, and/or oscilloscope (i manage a shop and do all the driveability diagnostics.) i bought this otc amp clamp mainly to use for starter draw and/or relative compression checks on larger engined trucks/vans (bc of the high amp capability and large jaw opening it should be perfect.) When i opened the box i was really pleasantly suprised by the weight and excellent heavy duty build quality. Its really nicely made, and much more robust than others ive seen in this price range. BUT! when I hooked up to my scope i got nothing out of it. No signal whatsoever, just a flat line like nothing is connected. The power light was on, but still I tried a new battery just in case. Still nothing! I flipped it back and forth both dirrections, tried zeroing and rezeroing, reclamping, turning off and on, different locations/circuits etc etc etc (I tried everything short of opening it up (i shouldn't have to be doing diagnosis on my NEW diagnostic tool! geez.) And then, just to be sure, i tried multiple scopes (pico, snapon verus and vantage pro), plus my dvom..STILL NOTHING. All the while my other clamps worked fine on these tools/Circuits. So it's for sure this clamp arrived DOA and is unusable. (its possible it was a previous return, the box seemed like it had been prev opened. VERY FRUSTRATING, I JUST WANTED A WORKING TOOL LIKE I PAID For. WILL BE EXCHANGING AND WILL UPDATE IF I GET A WORKING TOOL.
