Shocked at well it works
I ironically bought this as a disposable rain jacket-I bike daily here in New York to/from work 18 miles round trip). When the temperature started dropping into the 40s I thought I'd give this a try as a cold-weather garment. I wore it one day when it was 45 wearing only this jacket and a t-shirt. It was fantastic. I couldn't believe it. This morning when I left the house I thought I'd add another layer-a fleece vest. So in 28 degree weather I wore a long-sleeve generic tee, a fleece vest, and this jacket up top. I was perfectly warm! This thing traps heat like nobody's business. I can't tell you how surprising this has been. I love biking in cold weather wearing a minimum of gear. It's fantastic. Highly recommended. Will buy more as a backup-I've found my new winter biking jacket.

I use my rain jacket for cycling and live in the Pacific Northwest where its rainy but the weather doesn't get too cold. For this reason, I wanted a simple, inexpensive, unlined rain jacket that would keep the rain off me. I thought I should be able to get something basic that doesn't cost the earth. This jacket fits the bill.

Great Product
Jacket is lightweight and sheds water well. Enough room to layer a sweater or vest. Two large pockets can hold a wallet or cell phone.

I'm 5'10" 155 lbs. Medium was way too large. Returning for a small.

So far so good.
Light and reasonably compact for the price. Have not used it in the rain but it made a wonderful packable windbreaker on the peak of Cascade Mountain in the ADK. If I get a chance to evaluate performance in the rain I will try to remember to update

Sized large
Can't give it any stars since I returned the jacket before testing it; way too large--I usually wear a slim medium (my arms are long enough for a large), and this jacket is bigger than my large down jacket. Returning for a small.

Five Stars
Double ply much more durable then the single.
