Wetsuit Warmth Booster

Love the added warmth that this shirt provides, especially with a wetsuit, that on its own, is just on the cool side of comfortable. The boardshort loop is key because you can get a smaller and tighter size (less water flow) without the shirt riding up. Less than half the price of l*a*v*a.

Best swim shirts ever!

I teach aqua personal training and swim lessons in a pool 82 to 84°. I am in the pool 3 to 4 hours straight. These shirts are wonderful! You can move your arms around no restriction. You can swim in them too! Plus they’re easy to take on and off. Also they keep you toasty warm ! I recommend them to all my clients and students. I have 1 long sleeve for colder days and 2 Shirt sleeve ones.

Lap swimming

I swim most mornings with a team in a pool that is 78* (chilled in the summer and heated in the winter) but I’m always cold. I’ve worn this for 3-4000yd workouts and it has kept me warm. It’s harder to swim with a shirt/sleeves but I need the warmth so I wear it anyway. It’s not a wetsuit. It’s more like a tight fleece-lined top. I’m a lady, 5’7 and 130lbs and I have muscular arms and the men’s small fits well. It doesn’t ride up my belly. There is only one small seam on the left side of the neck that rubs sometimes but I use body glide and that helps. I couldn’t stay in the cold water as long if I weren’t wearing this shirt. I also bought the ladies version in long sleeve but I haven’t worn it in the pool yet

Excellent for staying warm in water!

To the point... The gym I go to has a heated pool but it's not warm enough to my liking. When my groin hits the water, I get an instant reverse hernia. It would take me 10 minutes to slowly adapt to the water temp. Using this shirt, I was pleasantly surprised how warm it kept my upper body! I can now go straight into the water and get swimming. I need this during winter months and it's great. Regarding size to buy, as others correctly suggested, get one size bigger than you normally wear. I'm 6', 185. I'm a solid Large in all polo/tee shirts. I bought an XL and it fits perfectly. The shirt is a little snug, as it should be. A large would have been too tight. I know this top costs a bit more than some others, but to me, it was totally worth it. I'm comfortable now, as in warm comfortable, going swimming is slightly cooler water. Highly recommend!

Fit was great, just needed a little extra warmth for extended snorkeling in Maui

Fit is perfect for my size, 5’10” 150 lbs, athletic build. Wouldn’t recommend for Bay Area water sports, but is perfect for April snorkeling in Maui.

Hubby’s fave

Purchased for my husband. This is his favorite surf top! Prior purchases have been from a local surf shop, online from O’Neill and now twice through Amazon. He wears a medium men’s shirt, large t-shirt but an XL in this top as he doesn’t like it to be super snug and tight-fitting yet it still conforms to his body. He’s 5’9”, 156 lbs.
