Still going

I do not write many reviews at all yet this item deserves one. We have a Australian Shepherd who is a destroyer of all things that squeek. She also loves pulling the stuffing out of toys to litter up the house. Toys are lucky to last 1 day as the sleeker noise maker sets her off. This toy has now lasted two weeks and she loves it. The noise maker is not Hugh pitched so it somewhat throws her off. She has not tried to destroy it or to eliminate the noise maker. Well worth buying to try out.

Ruger the Rescue approved! He loves this thing!

The media could not be loaded. Honest review of Multipet's 11.5-Inch Latex Polka Dot Globken Chicken Dog Toy @ $5.32 at time of order/review. We rescued a German Shepherd, and during his stay at the shelter he had a used latex duck that squeaked. It was his security blanket, we believe. It didn’t last long, but at least they did let him take it with him when we brought him home. He is very squeaker driven. We had other squeaker toys for him, but none seemed to be as popular as his duck was. I couldn’t find a duck just like he had but found these chickens and hoped they would be similar enough. He has barely put this chicken down since he got it! He loves it! We love it for him! It really isn’t all that annoying to listen to, especially seeing him having so much enjoyment with it. It is made from latex, so it doesn’t have any materials on it that he can chew off and ingest. There is no stuffing in it, so nothing is everywhere if he does tear it open. The price is awesome! For less than $6, we feel that Ruger got some of his only pleasant memories at the shelter back. He is even more of a happy boy with his squeaky chicken. If and when this one bites the dust, we will order another one, or maybe two. Hopefully this honest review helps someone decide about this product.

My dog loves this quacker!

Very durable. My 125# German shepherd/Great Pyrenees enjoys this and has yet to tear it apart. It smells toxic and strong rubber smell but my dog can’t tear out it’s honker. I will buy again!! Good loud sounding squeal. Would def recommend!! Left one star out only due to the strong smell.

There has never been a happier dog

I've been searching for a more durable rubber chicken toy for my min-pin/pom/chi mix. We originally bought him a latex chicken from the grocery store, and he was so excited by the sound it only lasted about 20 minutes before he had torn holes in it, rendering the squeaker inoperative. We bought him a second one and it managed to last maybe 30 minutes. This one has so far survived three days. I don't know how long it will actually last, but it's definitely more durable than the latex grocery store version. It's nice that the squeaker is down inside the throat, because the first thing he did was chew the beak off and the squeaker was unaffected. I think if he gets a hole in the feet or wings it may be the end of the noise making, but the larger size seems to deter him a bit from chewing those areas for too long. I do wish there was a rubber chicken that was more durable, because it is far and away his all time favorite toy. But if it lasts more than a few days, I'm happy to keep buying them for him at such a reasonable price.

Soft but tough.

My miniature dachshund thinks it's her baby. Walks around with it in her mouth. Almost as big as she is.

I am amazed its still in one piece

My dogs destroy the toys I get them within minutes. This little duck has lasted months. I am truly amazed. Granted it does not honk anymore, but it is still hanging in there. they love this thing! I would recommend!

PUBLICIDAD ENGAÑOSA, NO PARA PERROS GRANDES

Bueno para empezar al momento de anunciarlo como MULTI- me imagine que eran varios , comentan que son 5 colores variados y en la imagen vienen 6, así es que pensé que serian 5 pollos, pero NO , SOLO ES 1....en fin , llega el producto que se anuncia como durable y resistente, pues lo será para cachorros de razas pequeñas , porque a mi Husky de 9 meses no le duro ni 10 minutos LITERAL, fue un gasto de $180.00 pesos tirado a la basura , deberían poner que es solo una pieza y que no es para cachorros de razas grandes !

This is not a set (one toy only)

Toy is as described in structure and size but for the price and description I thought I was getting more than one. (the picture and description is misleading) Very disappointed in that. I would never buy one toy for over 10 dollars when I can purchase something similar elsewhere for far far less. Honestly thought I was getting a mixed variety of colours. I think the description has to CLEARLY state the assorted colours meaning you will get One toy without a choice of colour.

KKAAAAAAHHH. The sound that is only tolerable because the dog loves it.

I've purchased all of the multipet latex toys and this one seems to last the longest. She does prefer the pig or hippo, but the odd girl crams it in her mouth then pushed it on people, the ground while walking, the wall, and more. Something about the noise made by the different squeaker in hippo + pig and cramming it in her mouth, just makes her so happy. All of these I've fixed at some point as it appears the voice box isn't held in very well. Chicken, well that one I have been inventive with and have received different style voice boxes between them. Shoe Goo and other glues of the same brand, work very well to fix the problem better than new. If the noise is too much for you, get tweezers and adjust the small plastic reed. You can change tone and most importantly the volume! First thing I do when I get one. The voice box in chicken is easy to glue back in, hippo and pig both require some work with holding the mouth open and pulling the voice box tube out about 1/2 inch, applying glue around the outside of the tube and the extra latex that will likely invert when pulling the tube. Give it a minute or so, then push the tube back in carefully and position it at the opening. Let set 24-48 hours and its good to go. Good idea to wipe off the extra glue from pushing it back in. The level to which she loves these toys is almost obsessional. Squeeze it and she will stand there for hours, sometimes even falling asleep. Must be soothing.

Toy filled with cotton foam

Very dangerous for dogs first the rubber is thin the toy is filled in the belly with cotton foam which is fatal for dogs after consumption secondly the squicker is in the throat the mouth is open on the toy this could choke a dog it's small and could get easily swollwed. Please do not buy this product false advertising and is very toxic to dogs

The beak will be the first to go

As others have posted, the beak is the easiest for a dog to tear up. This toy lasted around 15 min intact... it’s been a few hours and it hasn't suffered any more damage. The squeaker seems well placed as the dog hasn’t chewed through it, my Sheppard dog likes it lots and it’s super squeaky
