Just what the doctor ordered!
Was struggling with aluminum foil then purchased these. Was more than pleased about the sturdiness regardless of what I had read in some of the reviews.

Works Good, But Thin And Bends Too Easily!
I bought the Mrs. Anderson’s Baking Pie Crust Protector Shield, Fits 9-Inch Pie Plates. You only get 1 Pie Shield in a bag, so if you need 2 or more, order them at the same time so maybe they will get sent with better packaging. These Anderson's Pie Shields do work pretty good. I have several of these in different sizes. I also have a few from some different brands that I don not like as well. This 9 inch Pie Shield is a good size for the basic frozen pies from the store. Unfortunately, I have had to order several of these because they are very thin and kept arriving very bent, or destroyed during shipping. These Pie Shields are silver aluminum, so they reflect the heat better than some of sturdier, but dark colored Pie Shields . With the heavier, dark coated ones, I always have to wrap them in tinfoil, or else they will burn my crust worse than if I did not even use one! This Pie Shield does not need to be wrapped in tinfoil because it is silver. You do still need to watch your pie carefully though because these only help a bit. Except for the damage that happens to these during shipping, I'm pretty happy with this item.

I was expecting a little larger item. I use (Marie calender) large size pot pies. I have reordered a set of adjustable pie crust items which look like they may be what I can use.

Banquet pot pies, no more burnt crust
These work great great on banquet pot pies... No more wrapping edges with foil. I wish I had bought these year's ago..

Good but….
I bought this because the silicon adjustable one I have was harder to put on. I thought this would be easy and worry free. I used it on a 9 inch pie pan. I crimp and pinch my crusts. This did not fit over it completely. I had to kind of try to squish it around the crust without smashing it. I just kept an eye on it while baking. The area that it couldn’t fit over did get browner than the rest obviously. Going to keep trying to get this to work - it’s simple but wish it was a tad larger.

Convenient to use works hreat
For pie crust so it doesn’t burn around the edges of the pie crust , the crust always bakes too fast, the shield protects it from burning Works way better than strips of aluminum

Received 21.05.20 two weeks earlier from the USA than predicted, which question what speed UK Royal Mail does. Item as described, happy with purchase. Packaging could do with vast improvement however.

I’ve used this once already on my Apple pies. Little discolouration after use, but as to be expected I would assume. It done the job. My crust did not burn.

Flimsy metal pie crust protector
Arrived swiftly. It's a bit thin and 'tinny' but then again it was pretty cheap. Not used it yet so don't know how well it performs. I'm not sure it will be dishwasher proof. Has to be better than fiddling around with tin foil though.

A bakers must!!
I use this pie ring baking pies, quiche, anything with a round pie crust. I’m thoroughly happy with the results. As well, many people have commented on it and I have recommended it to my friends and family.
