Necessary expense

Had this installed in newly remodeled shower/bathroom. Expensive for a small grab bar. Looks & blends ok except one of the rings(cover for the part that goes into tile) can twist around. Other one doesn’t. Contractor said probably a manufacturing glitch. If so, Moen needs better quality control.

Grab bar was easy to install and is extremely secure. Love the color!

Attractive design; well made. Needs to be mounted into a stud.

This is an expensive but elegant chrome on brass grab bar that does't look like you took it from the hospital supply room. Moen makes several styles in this high-end line of grab bars to fit different decors. To install it vertically in a typical wall, you have to locate a stud, or two studs if you're installing it diagonally. If you want to install a horizontal bar you should buy a 16" or 32" version to match the standard spacing of studs. The flanges at each end have multiple holes drilled in them, and once we located the studs, it was easy to line up the three screws at each end. Our showed has a fully tiled wall, floor to ceiling. The tiles add about 1/4" of thickness to the wall, so I bought six stainless steel screws that were 1/4" longer than the ones supplied in the package. Finding studs in a tiled wall without making random holes in your tile may take some ingenuity, or a very good stud finder. We were able to find the studs by opening up the drywall in the room adjacent to the shower. If you can't do that, I think Moen offers an accessory mounting system.

Substantial piece. Beautiful brushed gold color.

Beautiful piece with substantial weight. Packaged nicely and with necessary screws. This is a long grab bar so be sure to measure install area for length before ordering. Purchased for bathroom remodel.

Easy to install & very sturdy

Product was used in a new handicap shower for my husband, who has Parkinson’s! He can now safely take a shower by himself!

I did return, b/c it didn't match.

Quality product, as expected from Moen. But, the chrome color did not match my Moen Gibson chrome shower fixtures. This bar had a more brushed-nickel-meets-chrome look to it, so I had to return. I ended up ordering a Delta chrome grab bar that matched better.

Moen Corrosion Resistant Grab Bar

I needed grab bars for a new shower surround that was finished with natural stone tile. The majority of grab bars are not rated as corrosion resistant. Moen's web site allows you to select which features are of interest to narrow the selection of products that meet y your criteria. There were only about 3 that were rated as corrosion resistant and that met my other selection criteria. The Align grab bar design looks great with my natural stone shower tile. I think that it would work well with either contemporary or traditional designs. I had framing put in for mounting three Align grab bars (0ne 24" and two 18"), but it's good to know that Moen's Secure Mount brackets allow installation where you want if framing studs aren't in the right location. My only reservation about this product is that it is only rated as corrosion resistant rather than as corrosion proof. This was the best that I was able to find for any brand, though Delta offers a lifetime finish warranty on their products.

Ordered four, all had blemishes in the finish from factory.

The media could not be loaded. Not sure about this companies quality control but I ordered two grab bars and they both have some obvious issues in the finish. With the flaws I would say they are worth not even half of what I paid which was $200 for the two grab bars. The only reason I am continuing to try to do business with this company is that they are the only ones making this style and finish... Since there are no other options I requested a replacement. I am sure the new bars will have flaws too, I will keep the best of them and return the rest. Update: received both replacements today and they were in worst condition than the original ones I received. So bad... this company should be ashamed of what they are charging and the product they are delivering. if I wasn't pressed for time I would wait to find something else.
