I was skeptical, then I used it and bought 3 more.

I used to make popcorn strictly on the stove. it was messy and a whole process. I got one of these for christmas and was skeptical about it's use. but after using it once I bought more to use and to give away as gifts.

Easy Peazy Popcorn in Minutes

5 Stars for convenience, cleanup and comfort. Just add the measured amount of popcorn to the bowl. Place the lid on top. Put in the microwave. Select 'POPCORN' and in minutes the room is filled with the appetizing aroma of fresh popcorn. It's healthy because you've no need to add oil or if you prefer, use cooking spray after with seasonings... or drizzle with the ever popular 'melted butter'. YUMM

Quick popcorn anyone?

We had been using microwave bagged popcorn until we found this popper which collapses down to a few inches. Measuring amounts of popcorn for a full or a half a bowl is easy with the markings in the bottom of the bowl. No oil is needed. The unit is easy to clean with soap and water. We haven't tried washing it in the dishwasher. The unit arrived promptly and the unit was as described.

Pops OK but

Easy to store. Wash (by hand I recommend) by hand mildly difficult due to flexibility of product. Watch popping carefully, because time to pop seems different easily by 10 sec. May not seem long, but if is the earlier time and you come 20 seconds later, you could have burnt popcorn. It happened to me once, so I learned stay close by. Just so you know, time for me has been under 3 min. to pop 1/3 cup of popcorn. After popping corn do NOT reach in to take off lid or pick up container with your bare hands. It is very HOT. Also container is very flexible and you could easily spill popcorn everywhere. I did put butter on each cooking. Over all, it is OK product. I lIke it because it takes up so little room and seems to pop the corn rather quickly. Dislikes is hard to hold due to flexibility, and care from keeping burnt mild problem (one of my first try outs, I waited about 5-7 seconds too long). So in real points it is close to a 3.7.

Left a bad taste after first few uses

The bowl smelled bad at first so I washed it a couple of times. But the popcorn still had a chemical taste the first few times I used it. The bowl is very hot after popping the corn and you have to use oven mitts to handle it. The bowl is floppy and you have to be careful that the popcorn doesn't overflow when you carry it if the bowl changes shape. This problem combined with using oven mitts makes using it messy and awkward. Other products of similar design have handles at the top which are a good idea.

I was a skeptic..

So, I love the texture of popcorn from the microwave. Nothing compares to the crispy light texture of microwaved popcorn. However, hazardous chemicals and an outrageous per person serving costs have made me re-think my addiction. I tried using paper bags and found I really liked the texture, but the wastefulness and the possible harmful chemicals in the recycled paper left me searching for another solution. This popper seemed perfect - silicone is earth-friendly and infinitely reusable. When I received the popper I was a bit surprised. The lid doesn't fit the way the pictures showed on amazon (or the directions actually), but I decided to try it out. I am in heaven!!! Perfectly crispy corn, real butter and sea salt, a reasonable number of unpopped kernels, no black smoke, no carcinogens. Life is great.

Lid doesn't go on top it won't fit it burned my popcorn in the time it said to use. And it's flimsy

It scorched the lid and side but when I decided to send it back I washed it and the scorches came out but it's too flimsy to use it gets to hot and can't be used as a bowl for eating in either.. I ended up keeping it and it works if I baby it through and watch time 2 minutes doesn't work in bigger microwave but I am glad I kept it because the popcorn is good if I don't over cook it and the scorched sides washed away.. so far I am glad I kept it even though it's very flimsy it works..lol
