Son loves these types of puzzles

My son loves these wooden puzzles. These were a perfect addition to his collection now that he is showing so much interest in counting, the alphabet, and colors. Lots of different ways to play and I’ll sort the pieces.

Very Happy

We received the three set of puzzles (ABC, numbers & colors) when we purchased the Melissa & Doug blocks as well. Although we had some concerns with the blocks, we are very pleased with these puzzles! Our Grandchildren are 2 & 4 and they absolutely love playing with these puzzles! Very good quality and well built! Highly recommend!

great learning toy

my son loves playing with the letters. I had to get him a plastic one because he spilled juice on this one a few times which makes the parts sticky. You cant really wash since its wood but you can clean off with a wet towel

Good for kid.

Kid love to play puzzle. But parents have to take time to organized. Alway will be messy. Easy to loss 1 or 2 puzzle. This puzzle is easy to hold up.

Fish puzzle for learning colors

I bought the puzzle group specifically for the fish puzzle which I think is the best “hands on” color learning tool combined with fun fine motor practice. Have used in past years and now it is working its magic with a new grandchild currently 19 months. Highly recommend!! The number puzzle is also good for little hands. So glad i finally found the colored fishy puzzle of course on amazon!

Great product. My only negative comment is the fish board, the pieces fit exactly the same so it doesn’t quite intrigue my daughter. She doesn’t care if the colors are different.

Perfect challenge for my 19 month old/ update 20 months

Melissa and doug puzzles are the best! My son used the first shapes puzzle with the big knobs and mastered it. He also had the color wheel since he was 6 months and has mastered that as well. He knows all his shapes and colors. He needed a challenge. We wanted to expand our colors and work on numbers and some of the alphabet. I supervise when we use these puzzles. Especially the alphabet one. We don’t use it as often as the numbers and the colors because he is only 19 months. He knows how to put the numbers in and sometimes the colors. We haven’t had it for very long. I have no doubt he will master the number and color one by 2 which is when we may work on the alphabet one more. 3 puzzles for like $14. Can’t beat that. I didn’t expect it to be like the first shapes puzzle with the big knobs. I knew that one would be much more sturdy. It kinda makes it more of a challenge being so light weight but a good one. I refuse to buy any puzzles that are not Melissa and Doug. I just love their brand. UPDATE: We received these puzzles on August 5th. By the end of August he has has his numbers and colors puzzles mastered. Then, to our surprise, he mastered his alphabet puzzle in 2 days! That was on Sept. 1st and 2nd. I was shocked. I started with taking all letters out except the top row and added half a row at a time. Once he could put them all in, I added more. While he put them in I made the sound and said the word. Today is Sept. 9th and I can ask him where a letter is and he points to it! If he isn’t sure, I make the sound and he points to the letter! We’ve only had these puzzles for a month. He isn’t talking much yet but, he is so smart! Thanks Melissa and Doug!

My toddlers love the puzzles but one of the puzzles is starting to chip

Over all these are great products. I brought each puzzle out when my toddler twins started to become interested in colours, numbers and then the alphabet. The fish puzzle was a huge hit. They enjoyed matching the colours and would clap at the end of the puzzle when they matched all the fish. I was so surprised how quick they learned the name of each colour and just after turning 2 years of age they could match and name all the fish colours. Now this puzzle is why this is why this review is a 4 star. The fish are starting to chip after less than 6 months of use. The number puzzle pieces are very easy to put in and they enjoy matching the numbers to the pictures underneath. The alphabet puzzle provides 8-10 mins of entertainment and they enjoy matching the letter to the picture underneath. After one month of playing with the puzzle they almost know every letter and they for sure know the name of the picture underneath the letter. They have so much fun playing with this puzzle together and never fight because they can evenly divide up the letters.

Fun for (most of ) the family!

Great teaching tools! Well designed and colorful. My youngest has managed to chew some of the shapes into obscurity, and loves to dump the pieces everywhere. Makes a great gift if you can be honest with yourself about your own tolerance for OCD triggers.

Fun and easy

My daughter loves these puzzles! Some of the corresponding pictures to the letters are a bit questionable, as in why did they use such an abstract item instead of a simpler. For example, under the ‘D’ I can only assume it’s a duck, but it is white with a long neck that looks like a swan.... I don’t know if it is or not, but that is the only concern.
