Pack of 2 means two gloves, not two pairs of gloves
I dislike that this was advertised as a pack of two. I only received one pair of gloves. Price as advertised for two pairs of gloves is a good deal, but for one pair of gloves is a rip off.

It freakin' fits
I have fairly large hands. I have a tough time finding gloves - it's nearly impossible in stores, even like a Big ranch supply store. I was in one three days ago for something else, and stopped by their gloves. They actually had a few 2XL gloves! But they all fit like 1XL gloves. This is a common problem I've seen. At work, we have some 2XL cut4 abrasion5 tearaway gloves (car manufacturer), but those, again, fit like 1XL. So I haven't worn these to work yet, having just received them today, but I wanted to immediately call out that they actually fit, as this is very exciting to me right now.

Only misses on one mark
The only thing keeping these gloves from being perfect is a little bit of water resistance. The leather looking material seems water resistant, but it's very much not. When they get wet it seems to increase the rate of wear and tear.

Love these gloves
I wear gloves every day. Leather gloves last me about 6 months and I wear holes in the finger tips. I’ve had a pair of these for over 2 years and washed them every two weeks and were awesome. Finally had to break down and buy a new pair. These are the only work gloves I wear.

Awesome gloves, but don't last long.
I love the Mechanix 4x material gloves, but there is a major design issue. The seams are not double stitched and they are stitched with what looks to me to be regular old sewing thread, not strong long lasting nylon thread which should be used in all work cloths. I've had several pairs of these, and the same failure happened on every single glove. The 4x material of the fingers just pulls out from the fabric, either the fabric tears, the thread breaks, or the 4x material tears. The part of the glove that is not 4x material is not a strong material, it rips and tears quite easily. I've emailed mechanix and told them if they make a glove completely out of the 4x material and doubled stitched using nylon thread, I'd pay $70 for them. The 4x material is great, my job is very rough on hands and of course gloves, the abrasion resistance of the 4x material is fantastic, lasts longer than leather. The only thing that I have found that beats it up good is when I have to gather cinder blocks, but those will eat up any material, including skin. I've gotten to the point where I stopped buying more and just started trying to repair them, I sew them back together and then use tear mender fabric adhesive, gives them about another week of life. That the other thing, all of the stitching in the gloves should be coated with fabric glue, tear mender is latex so it doesn't get stiff. This would add a lot more strength. The next pair I buy I plan to do this before I even use them. Simply put the gloves are fantastic while they last. 4x material is awesome, gloves are comfy, not to hot not to cold, would be great for yard work or shop work but I work in a plant nursery where my hands are under constant abuse five days a week 8.5 hours a day. So maybe the don't last for me because I just use them up really quick. Though the changes I suggested would really improve the longevity. I've been seeking the perfect work gloves for about 5 years now I've spent a few hundred dollars on gloves by now, and my conclusion is they don't make gloves to last because then they would be out of the glove business. I have so many pairs of gloves that are junk, these gloves are the best I've tried so far, the search continues.

Perfectly Made For Light Work
The negative reviews of this glove that are posted by those who have used them for something they were not designed for are completely invalid. They are made for light work and are multifaceted as well as durable in that realm. I have used the set I purchased for months of light garden work, finish woodworking, vehicle maintenance, bicycle maintenance, and bicycling, including mountain biking. For $15, they are unbeatable for what they were intended to do. If one needs a heavy work glove, they need to buy proper work gloves and spend what they need to spend in order to get the proper tool for the job. Think of it this way, who buys a $6 pair of hand grass clippers to edge a half acre lawn, complains that their hands are tired, and then writes a negative review of something that will work perfectly for someone living in a condo with a 12'x12' patch of grass? The answer of course is those who are looking for the cheap way out in lieu of buying a string trimmer for $30.

wash it in the washing machine and put them in the dryer(which isn't recommended but I do it anyways) with my clothes everyday
I work in construction and have been using these gloves for almost everyday for almost anything. Particularly anything that requires finger dexterity and a fair amount of protection for my palm. These offer zero protection on the knuckles. If I was going to deal with trash, or demo, or anything that would get your hands wet, for the entire day I wouldn't use these gloves. However, sometimes I have to work in the rain and the gloves would get soaked and the material still holds up. The material is surprisingly durable for how thin it is. When I first got the gloves I was expecting to rip it within 2 weeks. But just today, I was doing some framing and I found that the stitches on the seams of the thumb and index finger coming apart. I wasn't surprised as how I use it everyday, wash it in the washing machine and put them in the dryer(which isn't recommended but I do it anyways) with my clothes everyday, for almost 3 months, the 4x material is still holding up and not showing the slightest hint of wear. I just the seams were stronger. I will get a pair of these sometime in the near future. But more experimenting with different gloves for now. By the way, get a size smaller. I use size Small for these gloves. It is equivalent to Medium for other brands that I have used like Milwaukee, Maxiflex, CLC, Home Depot's Firm Grip.

They last aaaaaaages!
I’m very impressed with these gloves. I used to buy the “Mechanix Original” gloves but I stopped when they just kept falling apart after no time. These Material4X gloves are not the same at all. They are waaay tougher. I’m on my 9th week on the same pair. Granted I wear orange latex gloves when building engines etc, but these are very acceptable for the price. I build drift cars for a living so lots of grinding/welding etc. The right index finger has developed a hole so I’ll likely retire them after this week with the spare pare I bought. Buy them and you won’t be disappointed. I went down a size for a nice snug fit. Oh, my colleague wears Snap On material4x gloves that cost £50+ a pair and guess what brand is on the label on the inside of his gloves... Mechanix.

Tougher than other versions
I'd heard Mechanixs glovers were great to wear and long lasting. I've tried a few versions and whilst they are the most comfortable gloves I've used, the durability was lacking. I feel that this was because the other versions have been high dexterity, or 'light' versions. Due to the comfort I've persevered and , finally moved onto these 4X and , these are the real deal. These are the only gloves I'll buy now.

Great glove for drivers
These gloves are a great pair of gloves for manual work, construction, strapping loads down, rigging etc. However, for small intricate mechanic/fitter work they just lack the dexterity for that application. In saying that, I will buy them again when they wear out, but I’ll stick with bare hands or latex glove for finer work

Promising, though ultimately disappointing
This is the second pair of these gloves I’ve had. They claim to be extremely tough, though both pairs have only lasted two years. That’s two years of infrequent use. While they have a lovely fit, they’re ultimately not robust enough. Back to the drawing board to find a good quality, hardy work glove.

Don’t expect to pick up anything too small
A very comfortable pair of gloves, with palms that are soft to the touch. Really only usable with larger items as you loose dexterity with anything too small. Wrenches, power tools or anything dirty is where they come into play.
