Most trains won't for under the bridge on a track
Bought this for my son as a gift for my son. He was so excited and immediately began playing with it and his trains. It was soon discovered that none of his engines can fit under the bridge, on a train track. We have original Thomas the trains, and compatible trains and tracks. The tunnel is just barely too short. It's really frustrating. My son no longer uses it as an over the tracks bridge.

Nice bridge -- works with Brio and off-brand tracks
I bought this bridge to go with my child's other wooden train tracks, some of which are genuine Brio and some of which are knock-offs. This bridge fits fine with all the tracks. It is tall enough that even the taller Brio train cars can pass underneath if you build the track to go through the tunnel. Because the pieces are big and chunky, and painted with an easy-to-identify pattern, this is one of the easier wooden railway components for very young children to use. My two-year-old's motor skills are not yet developed enough to build a bridge or overpass using the curved tracks and risers that you see in some wooden track sets, but he can assemble this one with no problem. Personally, I don't love the fake stone design... find the genuine Brio version of this bridge (which is unpainted) to be a bit more attractive. However, the painted design does help small kids to spot the correct pieces. And, of course, this version costs much less than the Brio one.

I almost love it...
I bought this set for my 3 year old grandson, who's into the Thomas Wooden Railway. He loved the appearance and once I set up the tracks to go over and then loop around and go under the bridge (in a figure eight arrangement), he asked me repeatedly to set it up "over and under" again and again during our visit. He even specifically asked for the "stone bridge track" at play time. The only negative, which dropped my rating by one star, is that the bridge slope is rather steep and the magnetically coupled train cars had some difficulty crossing the bridge without near catastrophe (i.e. derailment) unless I pulled them very, very, very slowly across the bridge. A more gradual slope would rate a full five stars. Would I recommend it? Yes, but with a reservation, as described above. When my grandson pulls the train over the bridge, it crashes off the track, but at 3, he doesn't really care (he also derails it going around curves). Would I buy it again (or a second one)? Sure.

20 months of abuse later...it's pristine!
In response to another review saying this piece wouldn't be of the same quality as original Thomas parts...actually, I think this is much better quality. It's actually solid hardwood, not compressed particle board material, and it's a wonderful, unique piece. I'm very glad I bought it over 1.5 years ago as it remains one of my train-obsessed, now 3-year-old son's favorite pieces. When younger, he spent hours learning to slide the 3 components together, and switching the pieces around and learning why they wouldn't work that way (though he discovered you can build a nice little ski jump with them...). I actually arrived (or, clicked) here again planning to buy a second one for his preschool classroom, as he loves to play with trains at school, too, so I keep a second set there for my son and his friends/classmates to play with. Realized I had never given a recommendation for the "stone bridge" so...here you go! Highly recommended. Has been used and abused by my son and his friends for 20 months and appears to be indestructible,

Good looking and stable
We are very pleased with this addition to our track. Not only can you build an interesting over/under track, but the thing we like best is that it is so stable. We have a similar stone bridge that has a span in between the sides, and that one is also very nice, but our two-year-old always dislodges the span. This one has a much more stable design, as the span is one solid piece, with two solid end pieces. Clearance: With a track going under the bridge, all of the standard-height Thomas trains will clear just fine. (Clearance from the top of the track to the top of the opening is 2" -- not counting the grooves for the wheels.)

Great product for price
Got this as an addition to my son’s wooden train set. He can easily put it together (2.5yrs) and it does allow for his trains to go under the bridge as well. Overall I’m happy with this purchase ????

Definitely Not A Life-Changing Purchase (but I would give 3.5 stars if possible)
The tunnel should be at least a centimeter higher. It's as if they neglected to allow for the height of the track. About 40% of our trains get stuck. If you don't mind using your imagination, you can come up with clever solutions for your knock-off Thomas The Tank Engine railway. This issue didn't ruin our Summer, and I suppose we'd still rather have this so-so bridge than not have. Just please don't pin all of your hopes and dreams the purchase. Your expectations will fall short and you'll never trust your aspirations again. You will live a bitter life alone, seldom looking forward to anything beautiful ever again. But if you take it for what it is, a mediocre (3.5 star) amusement that does more good than harm, you just might learn to achieve happiness even when circumstances could be better.

LOVE this, but be warned about the tunnel height
Added this to our track set this year and the kids LOVE it, and I love that the pieces stay together better than other bridge pieces we have tried! Note though, that the tunnel part is wide enough to fit tracks under, but most of our trains (thomas wooden, chuggington, orbrium engines) do not fit under WITH the track pieces in place. This is still a very fun toy, but if you are looking for the perfect over/under tunnel and bridge, this is not it ;)
