Perfect for the hobbiest; some quirks
1) CLEANING: I let the bees clean it. And they did it to perfection. Otherwise you can’t get your arm down in and taking it apart is cumbersome. 2) EXTRACTING: Took some getting used to when I only had one frame to do. Unbalanced and difficult to get it going super fast. I figured out a way to kind of sit on it to hold it in place. 3) HONEY QUANTITY: Lacking proper speed, I could not fully extract. They were foundationless and I ended up cutting out wax and squeezing as much honey out as I had extracted. Left wax for bees and they cleaned that all up too. 4) OPENING LOCATION: I think it’s just fine. Filled up a bit and I tipped gently to get rest out. GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY. I’ll perfect my technique and this will be a big help for Fall honey. I would buy again.

Not very robust, but good customer service at Amazon
This is a sort of good news/bad news review. My Mann Lake HH130 2-Frame Plastic Extractor lasted less than one season. The box-like inner plastic container that holds the frames cracked. It could not handle the centrifugal force. I tried to get parts from Mann Lake but they didn't stock replacements and it could not be fixed. I used it past the return date. Amazon was going to charge me a hefty fee to "restock" the thing. I explained to them there wouldn't any restocking, it would have to be trashed and wasn't really worth. To their credit, they understood that I was honest and they credited me full price, without even having to send it. I was very impressed. I didn't expect to be treated like a human being by a monolithic Fortune 500 company but I was mistaken in my judgement of them. Kudos to Amazon's personnel but this is still a crummy product. You're better off spending a few more bucks to get their stainless steel extractor.

Great for new Beeks, just okay for experienced Beeks
I purchased mine in 2014 and used it for 4 seasons. This is a GREAT purchase for new beekeepers, as the price is completely reasonable in comparison to the higher quality extractors. If you are new to beekeeping, buy this. If you decide to stick with beekeeping (a very expensive hobby), then upgrade. I am retiring this extractor for a few reasons. Some of the plastic parts on the inside as well as the gait are breaking after lots of use. It only holds 2 frames at a time- now that I have more hives, this makes the process take a lot longer. This is next to impossible to clean. It cannot be disassembled, and my skinny arm can't fit down into the extractor to clean it out. So long, plastic extractor! I'm upgrading to a Mann Lake metal extractor.

Could be deeper but works for me
We had a metal one that rusted at every weld after one use and we noticed metal pieces falling off too. Returned it and got thus plastic one. Used it and found that it spun a lot smoother, cleaned up easier, and didn't weigh as much. The only complaint I have is that it isn't very deep. After spining two frames the level of honey was almost hitting the spinner meaning we will have to drain the honey after only two frames instead of six with the previous one. But we're a small backyard operation so it isn't that big of a deal. Make it deeper and five stars it would be.

Great product!
I bought this after trying to gravity extract my honey combs. This product was great!!! it worked just as it should, and I liked the fact it can fit different sized frames. For us it wasn't too hard to clean. The mechanics are not made to come out, without some serious iwork. So it was a little awkward to stick my whole arm in and work around the mechanics, but like I said it wasn't too bad. It may be a little more difficult for someone with bigger arms, but I'm not a "little" person I think this should be fine for most people.

Perfect for small beekeeper
I had low expectations but this actually works really well, I use only mediums so I had to jimmy it up with two 4*2's to fill the extra space. I expected to spend a lot of time manually churning but the extraction was very quick, except it only extracts one side at a time so you have to turn the frames around. Easy to clean and overall I'm very happy and my bees are super happy cause I'm not destroying there hard work breaking down comb to extract honey!!

Costs too much to be this much of a pain!
Pro: It's lightweight and easy to assemble. Cons: doesn't have enough torque to extract all the honey. I still had a lot of honey left on the frames. Hard to clean, cant reach down into it. Not deep enough, had to strain the honey out after 4-6 frames because the honey almost reaches the bottom of the frames. Unsteady. Had to operate by holding one side with my knee on the top to hold it in place (glad nobody was around to witness this awkwardness). Also the frames had to be in juuuust the right spot or else they would hit the top bar. I regret this purchase. The stainless ones with legs are way better and worth the price.

Found it very easy to use and worked very well
Found it very easy to use and worked very well. Loved the fact it weighed a lot less than a metal one. Drawbacks: cleaning (can't remove the mechanics) and it needs to be held down while spinning. We purchased one of the stands which I think was intended for a metal spinner. I would recommend for the hobby beekeeper.
