Gets nice and hot

With anything boating when you go cheap it doesn’t work very well. So I spent the extra money and went with this grill. I am very impressed with how hot this grill gets. It comes apart very easy for cleaning and getting all the grease out for the next trip. Very happy I spent the extra money.

I wanted to love this sooooo badly...

I have written a few of these reviews and I think that in this case I am pretty dissapointed... First... in order to attach this to your boat you MUST but one of a few attachment systems... They run about 60 bucks each. Some are better ideas than others and I finally went with the floor mount system. by the way you cannot go underway with this system installed. Second this product is EXTREMELY "oh-by-the-way/nickle and dime you"... after buying I realised I had to also buy a cover to keep the parts in the cooker. there is a large slot in the back that anything you put in there while you are under way will fall out of. that being said after buying this I had to buy a replacement drip tray because it fell out while underway. the BBQ also leaks. I was cooking hamburgers and the seams of it leak. I admit that I expected more. later in the week i cooked 6 chicken thighs and the thing couldn't handle the grease and as a result I had to only cook two at a time. I was originally going to go to BJ's and buy a 79 Dollar mini gas grill and make the parts to attach it to my boat, I wish I had. The only awesome part of this cooker is how the Gas system operates, it is ingenious, I just wish the rest of it was designed as well too.

which by the way was very easy to install

This Grill is being used on our pontoon boat along with the pedestal mount, which by the way was very easy to install. When we traded in our old pontoon boat for a new one we had a Coleman grill that also was installed with a pedestal mount. You really couldn't grill anything more than hot dogs or brats on it because it was pretty weak in the flame department, but it was ok. This grill is much better at getting the heat to the grill itself. We had no problems cooking ribeyes on here in about 7-10 mph winds, was no problem. It looks great and if we decide to go inland to a campground somewhere it comes right off of the pedestal and fold out the legs with no issues at all. We really love this grill and with all the accessories that we bought for it are very nice and fit the grill really well! It was for sure worth the extra money for this!

Not worth the money.

Here is the email I wrote to magma with no replay. I’m not one to normally complain about a product, but last year before the boating season I bought one of your connoisseur A10-803 grills. The first one I received from Amazon had two broken spot welds that holds the burner in place, I sent it back to amazon and they sent me another with the same issue. I than called you directly and you sent me one that was fine. After using it all season last year I was very unimpressed with this grill. After about 5 uses the black paint on your emblem pealed off. The grill looks to have high temp silicone on the bottom seams but still tends to leak grease all over my swim platform on my boat or a table if your using the feet. This past weekend I used it for the first time this season and remembered him unimpressed I am with this grill. It doesn’t even cook evenly. For example if your cooking burgers the side opposite the regulator burns hotter and the burgers get done faster on that side. Even multiple boaters at my marina say this grill sucks compared to their kettle grills. I feel like this is unacceptable for a grill that is $230+, plus another $230. Between the bag, mount and cutting board. I have $460 into a grill that cooks no better than a $40 charbroil grill from Walmart. Did I get another dud or is it just this style grill?

CATCH AND FILET!! What a GOD SEND!

.......... what can i say... CATCH AND FILET!! I love having this on my boat! It set up easily and I bought the rod mount holder for it. We grilled kabobs while we were island hopping and had a great time! It heats up very fast and cleans/stores easily. The lid does lock down the the propane tank is portable and easily attaches/detaches for safe storage. It has held up very well since I purchased several months ago! It is all high qualitu stainles steel and it is definitely a quality product! I must also mention i live in FL so this was on a SALT WATER boat and it is holding up great! No rust so far and it has been several months! I would say the biggest pros are: 1) IT IS A GRILL ON AT BOAT 2) stores nicely and cleans up easily 3) high quality definitely resists rust Cons: NONE :) Enjoy!

Amazing quality for a boat grill

This Magma boat grill is awesome. It's extremely well made and solid. After watching many videos on how the Magma grills work compared to other brands we decided to go with the more expensive grill and we're very glad we did. The stainless steel is a beautiful finish and looks really nice we've had many compliments on it already. The pressure regulator on the side is nice as the cheaper models of grills didn't have that option. The surface area is quite large for a very small and compact grill. We easily cook a dozen hot dogs on the boat. We bought the attachment set to hook it to the side of our pontoon boat and it makes for an easy and fast way to have our grill ready to go. I really like it and the quality of this Magma grill
