inadequate gloves for machinists
Preface: These gloves were bought for protection from the handling of metal parts and shavings partially wet with coolant, as well as sheet metal on and off a CNC plasma water bed. They were used for about a month prior to this review. Water Resistance: The gloves behaved more water resistant than waterproof. The coated areas were the only parts to resist water, making the waterproof claim false. The insulation helped slow the ingress of water, and was adequate for cold air, but not cold liquids. Durability: The insulation made handling heavier metal parts more comfortable, but not dexterous enough for smaller stuff. After about three weeks of use, the sandy texture wore off on the index finger, revealing the waterproof coating underneath. After about a month of use, that coating began to crack and wear off, ruining the water resistance. There is a discrepancy with the cut resistance rating. The patch on the cuff reads an A5 rating, while the tag inside the cuff reads an A6 rating. I had no way to determine which was the true rating for the gloves. Conclusion: These gloves were not suitable for what I bought them for at the advertised cut and water resistance ratings. The water resistance is fine for handling wet objects, but not submerged ones. The cut resistance can handle light sharp objects, but should be fine for general handling in cold weather.

Runs small
I have purchased other T-Rex gloves in the past and I always wear a size Large. These gloves were to small across the hand in the fingers. I had to order up to a size "XL" and they worked just fine. So be warned these gloves or at the very least the gloves I got seem to run smaller then the other T-Rex gloves I have purchased in the past. They have preformed as promised thus far.

Garbage quality, won’t last a month on a construction site.
I bought these gloves for work, I started using them on November 16, my pictures are from December 18. I work 40+ hrs a week as a general laborer for a construction company, I swing hammers, use electric and air power tools, move lumber, lift angle iron, and other miscellaneous chores on the job site in northern NY. The weather here is rough on people and equipment. The temperatures can hit -10F and be windy, so good work gloves are a necessary purchase. I expected a waterproof glove with insulation to be breathable, these gloves use a non-breathable liner with garbage bag quality. You can see from the pictures that the outer layer is not cut or puncture resistant, and non durable. I will never buy another pair. Pros: Insulated, kept hands warm in -10F conditions while staying VERY ACTIVE on a construction site Waterproof Will eventually warm your sweat soaked hands Cut resistant to ANSI 6 Puncture resistant to ANSI 4 Back of hand rubber armor softens the blow of a 24oz hammer, but not by much Cons: Insulation doesn’t help while performing light tasks below 20F, or stopping for a 10 minute break Insulation isn’t effective when handling cold metal Non-durable outer shell, won’t last a month (see pics) Rubberized palms will not help when grabbing cold & wet, painted steel Stitches that break after 1 month Rubber armor that cracks at stitching The trash bag equivalent liner that gets punctured after being exposed thus defeating the waterproofing Non-breathable, holds sweat against skin Fingers have to really squeeze into the gloves until after a few uses The port-o-potty smell after you sweat in them the first time The dog sh$t smell that NEVER washes out The smell that stays on your hands and causes stink eye stares at the convenience store during lunch break until washing your hands for ten minutes to reduce the foul smell Bottom line: I wouldn’t pay more than one dollar for them, better yet pay me $20 to go buy a better product.
