Solid four stars

The same Chinese company must produce most of the light fixtures you see online and even those you see at your local lighting store. I say that because there is *always* something funky when you install them. This fixture has the typical problem of mounting screws that are too long. Yes, they can be backed off and secured with the supplied nut, but it's hit and miss until you get it just right. Build quality is acceptable, and I think pricing is at the upper limit for what you get. Also keep in mind that the bulb, even a relatively short one, will be very noticeable (should be no surprise with an overhead fixture like this one).

Constantly burns lightbulbs

I've had this light for a little over one year. In that time, I've had to change the bulb at least four times! It's installed over a staircase in a very hard-to-reach place, so it's a pain to change the bulb. I use the type and wattage of bulb suggested by the manufacturer, and it's hardly every lit (just when we go up or down the stairs at night, which is almost never). So, I just can't understand why the bulbs burn so frequently. The light I had in that place previously almost never burned (maybe twice in the 15 years I have lived here). I'm really disappointed, because it's very pretty, but I think I'm going to have to trash it.

Pretty, but not packed well and is broken.

The item was not packed well in the box and arrived shattered. There was also a crack in the fixture itself. I sent a request for a new one, but haven’t heard back.

As other reviewers have indicated, the mounting screws are too long making it difficult to mount flush with the celling. Why give this a 5 star review if it doesn't install correctly? That just tells the manufacturers that it's okay to poorly design their fixture mounting. It's not okay with me. Make your stuff work right the first time. I'm not buying it so that i can pretend to be MacGyver. I want to install it quickly and know that it's going to stay up there. Measure your screws before you finish your build! Is that too much to ask?

Easy to Install, Good Lighting

Used this as a replacement in my toilet area. Great fixture with good lighting. It's also so much easier to change the bulb since I don't have to remove part of the fixture to do that. Plan to get some more for closet and hallway areas.
