can u say BRIGHT?

This is surely a commercial grade light! it can be used for residential, assuming u have a big lot to light up. Light output is beyond superb. Be sure to put on timer or motion sensor to save $$, unless u use it for avoidance of loitering. Mounting it higher provides a wider light pattern so 2nd level is ideal. LED is a game changer for high powered outdoor lights like this... pre LED, these lights would burn about 10x the amount of power for the same light output, so we must be grateful these big makers have incorporated LED into high powered lights, as its much more complex than smaller output lamps build quality is superb as is ALL Lithonia products I have installed. First class company..

Superior Outdoor Wall Lights

These Lithonia LED outdoor wall fixtures are your best choice for illuminating your property at night with a very large area of bright light output.... I can see everything out back at night for a hundred feet in every direction.... Of course.... keep in mind the higher you mount this light, the more area it can light up. We have two of these [different/older models] on the house already, & they do a GREAT job of turning night into day :) These lights are "customizable" …. you can adjust the intensity of light output, AND... You can add a sensor [not a timer] so it turns itself on at night & off in the morning. These lights are the best you can find.... their build quality is excellent & they are made of top grade materials. I recommend hiring an electrician to install this unit, you will be glad you did..... not only can he install it right, he can add a wall switch so you can turn it off at night if need be….. and he can install the day/night sensor IN the unit for you. These lights are industrial strength & built to last.... I live on the wind blown coast of Maine, & the weather conditions here are some of the consistently harshest you can find, the weather has a way of quickly sorting out inferior outdoor equipment/devices from the superior.... and these lights just shrug off the worst of it & keep shinning through it all..... these are lights you can RELY on. To conclude, I love these lights... they make SUCH a big difference! and I know if light is what you need on your property... you will love these lights too. 5 Stars + Quality Product Recommendation

OK, That is HUGE!

Let me start by mentioning that, I think this is not meant for residential use, I think size wise it leans more for commercial use, it's 16.25 in by 15.75 in and like 7-8 in deep and weights around 35 lbs, it's almost the size of a small oven toaster. Just something to keep in mind. This thing is a professional grade, so I can tell it's built to last. It's all aluminum and glass, which is what giving it that heavy weight. I think you can still use it for residential use, but it's just humongous. Now, with that said. Hanging this LED Lighting is pretty straight forward, and if you already have electricity to the mounting area, it only takes about 20 minutes or so to install. I installed and ran the cables to my wifi smart switch and connected it to my apple home kit and Alexa and now i have it on a schedule to start at sunset and stop at sunrise. When it comes to brightness, this light can go from bright to OMG I'm seeing spots bright, so be careful when adjusting the brightness. Also, the more brightness the more power it consumes. You can adjust it from 25 watts, all the way up to 78 watts. So overall, my experience has been very positive aside the size and weight. But the build quality is very premium and you can feel it's expensive and the light it outputs is insane. Highly recommended, but i still think for residential use it's a bit of an over kill unless you have a huge house and backyard.

Great security light, easy to install.

This is a well-made, well documented, easy to install, and very effective outdoor light for security or general purpose. It is pricier than other home-center lights but can be brighter (if so desired), has excellent dispersion, and may take the place of multiple lights in some cases, due to brightness. As others have noted, a simple multi-position rotary switch is used to adjust the light intensity. One thing that stands out when installing this light is the handy chart on the junction cover plate (see photo) that shows you the power draw for each switch setting, ranging from 11 watts (translates to 1,166 lumens) to 48 watts which is comparable to a 250W metal halide bulb and provides 5,174 lumens of light. For perspective, a 60W incandescent bulb is about 800 lumens. This is handy when installing the light, but you’re not going to change it often, and I think most users will put it on the brightest setting and be done with it. After all, if you don’t want a light as bright as this, there are cheaper and smaller options available. I had no issues with installing it and have connected it to a smart switch, so it goes on at sunset and off at 2:00 AM. There is a photocell option available, and because of the low wattage (even at the brightest setting), pretty much any external sensor, switch, or motion detector should work just fine with it. It is big, a little heavy to install, and is really designed for commercial use, but it is exactly as promised and if you’re looking for this type of light, look no further. Highly recommended.

This is a commercial fixture but if you want some serious lighting it can be used at home. It's very heavy so be prepared to hang it somewhere very sturdy. In the end, the light is BRIGHT. The unit looks very professional and nice but it's a bit overwhelming if you don't choose the right spot to install it. Once you get it installed it is made to last, you won't need to replace it for many years. Overall it's nice but you will need a strong person to hang it and be careful about your location. 4 stars!
