Nice edition, especially if you do not need integrated crossing gates.

If you want crossing gates I would buy the fully integrated track section, but this provides you the ability to use ANY crossing gates. I already had two so it worked out perfectly.

Grade crossing works well with my Lionel layout

I am very happy with this pair of grade crossings. Used with PlayTape Black Road and a Lionel crossing gate, they create a very attractive intersection. Cost was not much more than a four-pack of straight Fastrack, and I only had room for two track sections.

Add Cars and Trucks to Your Layout

A relatively inexpensive way to make your layout more fun, especially for children, is to add some 1:43 scale cars and trucks. If you do this, then you'll want to add the grade crossing for the cars to cross the tracks. There are some pretty expensive crossings with gates that go up and down, but these tend to break. I recommend this basic crossing. You get two crossings/track for less than $12 which is just a little bit more than a 10" piece of track. The crossing works well with trains and they have a nice look overall. If you are interested in adding cars, trucks, buses, fire engines, etc. just search amazon for 1:43.

I don't have a train store close to my home and when I saw these at a good price I had to order. They were delivered quickly and are already in use. So easy.
