I'm a hobby welder. I bought other helmets but they did not protect my eyes as well as this helmet does. Spend the extra money to protect your eyes, you only get one set of eyes folks. This takes 2 AA batteries and they are easy to replace.

Great Deal! But strap in...

Flashes me occasionally when I'm welding consistently for a while. Headband sometimes hurts the back of my head when wearing it for several hours but other than that it's a great deal if you don't weld a lot or if you are a beginner welder. Only cons are getting flashed, its gonna teach you the value of a really high quality helmet.

Didn’t get the color I ordered

Got it in today. Ordered the glossy black but got the “lone star”. Not a big deal, will still serve its purpose

Excellent dimming and comfortable. Worth the money to feel safer than with a cheaper helmet

I'm not a real welder. I weld things now and then, and I can do an okay weld when I need to. I had an Antra dimming helmet with specs similar to this one's. It was okay, but it was slow to darken and would quit working without warning. This helmet feels solid but not heavy. The band is wide and comfortable. The nod-to-drop works very well. The undimmed view is very good, brighter than the Antra. Dimming is so fast that it's seamless transition from undimmed room light to dimmed arc light. I don't see the arc at all before dimming. This uses standard batteries and the batteries are accessible and very easy to replace. This was very welcome, as the Antra used flat coin batteries and it was absolutely awful to open it up to change batteries. I compare because the Antra was less than half the price and that was attractive for an occasional welder. This Lincoln Electric helmet was expensive for me, but I should have bought this helmet the first time. It's more than I wanted to pay, but I feel safer.

Buena calidad

El circuito electrónico está diseñado correctamente, la pantalla se obscurece inmediatamente al iniciar el arco, los controles también operan correctamente incluyendo el de sombras, me gustó que usa baterías AAA a diferencia de otras caretas que usan baterías tipo reloj ya que duran más y muy probablemente tenga también relación con la rapidez de respuesta por la mayor capacidad de corriente.
