Winner of my side-by-side comparisons: Absorbent! Dries FAST! Great Quality!

Want to purchase a bunch of these as gifts for a party we are hosting. There are many different "Turkish Towel" options on Amazon so I purchased multiple brands. Here is what you need to know about this brand and why we call this brand the "WINNER"! -towel is soft right out of the package -towel is nice and large -100% Turkish Cotton (not 100% cotton from Turkey -- there is a difference!) -dries in a snap -very absorbent -they offer many colors which makes this a fun gift as each person will get their own and throughout the weekend, everyone will know which towel is theirs! Will be a great multi-use product for drying off, sitting on, wearing as a skirt for the ladies, serving as a blanket when the wind blows. Will be great on the beach to keep sand away (nice tight weave). This brand was thinner, 8 oz (vs others at 14 oz) so obviously this one dried more quickly and that is one of our primary objectives. FOLLOWED best practices for all towels in our comparison: It was recommended before use to "treat" a Turkish towel and soak it in cold water to let the cotton "bloom" We soaked the towel in cold water for 24 hours with some white vinegar (also recommended). If you purchase a Turkish towel, I recommend taking these steps. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Cacala Pure Series Lightweight 100% Turkish Cotton Super Soft Peshtemal Luxury Bath Towel !!!!! P.S. Good Price for a Nice Turkish Towel

This is a nice, lightweight towel and I love the color. Great for travel since you can use it as a shawl or light blanket on planes and then a towel on the beach.

Never using another towel

Funny story, I bought one of these for my husband for Christmas because he asked for one. I was curious why, and borrowed it to shower (after he'd had his first shower with it), immediately came up to him and said "I stole your towel and now I want one." Bought my own and LOVE it! It's so absorbent, and huge! Like a big beach towel. If I wrap it around my 5'6" frame it fits like a long dress. I dried off so much faster than with normal towels. Highly recommend this one if you're looking for a good quality towel.

Different in its texture

As someone who's use to traditional fluffed towels, I am growing fond of this thinner towel. It's quality & absorbs, dries quick too. Since I'm using it basically for a shower towel, I would have chosen a less lengthy one & with no end to end tassels.

Does not absorb water - just smears it around

The towels look and feel nice. They are light and dry quickly. However, they do not dry the water on your skin. They do absorb some of the water, but not all and just kind of smear the excess water around on your skin unlike a traditional towel. I really wanted to like them, but need to find something with more absorbency.

Perfect for travelling

This is the third Turkish towel I have purchased from this company. They look great, colours are as advertised. These are fairly thin, however, that is what I like about them. If you avoid the use of fabric softener these will dry you very well. Someone with long hair may need a second towel as they can become saturated more quickly than a typical towel. They are perfect for travelling as they take up very little space in luggage, dry in a flash, shed beach sand easily and can double as a sarong/ beach coverup. These also make a great gift.

Converted to a new towel habit.

One for the husband, one for me on holidays, and what brilliant towels they are. Online to buy more to slowly convert the house hold habit towards these. They are light, dry the body surprisingly well and fast with a slight exfoliation action, too, and dry fast in the summer hung over a cold towel rail unlike fluffy ones. And, having washed and put them in the dryer against recommendations for speed, they get ever softer, don't shrink, brilliant. There is something deliciously minimalistic and classy about them.

Great absorbancy

Read an article of someone taking one of these Turkish towels on holiday instead of bulky towel and ordered two. Love them so much have ordered two more for gifts for family. Could not believe something so thin could absorb water after my shower and yes it did. Lovely colours I have the army green, pale grey and now ordered the sea blue and lime green.
