Great for 1920s party

It is very stretchy and bunched in the back and middle area. You can’t tell from the pictures. So I would size down. Also I’m on the shorter side so the dress was longer than I wanted. However, it was a hit and I got a lot of compliments. I would recommend this dress.

Sheds sequins

I just received it for my Halloween costume. It was delivered fast and fit as expected, so I'm happy Halloween is taken care of for me. My only complaints- it bunches in the back, making the length ride up a little (I plan to wear tights, so shouldn't be a huge deal, just annoying) and just from trying it on it dropped sequins and fringe all over my kitchen, also annoying. But I have a hard time finding costumes that fit/look good on me, so I am very satisfied with this dress.

The sizing is insane

First of all the options are 16-20 and 22-26 as if those are wildly different. Second, I’m 224 lbs and this thing is tight in all the wrong places. I normally wear an 18-20 but decided to go bigger because costume designers hate fat people. This isn’t flattering. If you’re more than 200 lbs or have a belly, find something else. My other costume is lost in the mail so I’m stuck looking like a sausage ready for a roaring 20s party. Why can’t sizes just make sense?

1x fits size 14

Should I rate "Too small" since there is no way this dress is 1X, or "Fit as expected" because everyone has already said it runs small. I'm 5'2" and wear a size 14 pants and large shirts. There is no way I should need to order plus size clothing, but I got tired of squeezing into skin tight costumes. Therefore, I ordered a 1x knowing it would probably fit just right. I am very happy with the fit. I like the fact this costume does not have sequins under the arm, so it should be comfortable all night. There is some fabric rolling along the back zipper that I'm not thrilled about, but otherwise the dress looks very nice. The neckline and straps hide my normal bra so I'm pretty happy about that too.

Great quality costume, worth the money!

This costume was worth the price. Great quality with the dress and headband. I also bought the accessories pack with necklace, earrings and head piece with feather and everything was great quality. I am 5'6, 224 lbs and curvy (I normally wear a size16) and I bought the 1x plus size. It had tons of stretch so it was very comfortable and it didn't show all the "bumps and lumps" most of us are self-confident about. It wasn't too short either. The one thing I didn't like was the back of the dress didnt lay flat, and bunched up. It was annoying to look at when I noticed it, but the dress was cute enough that I didnt worry about it too much. Not sure if a smaller size would have prevented that, but I feel like the dress fit well otherwise, had great stretch and was great quality. I would recommend!

I loved the dress, just not on me.

I'm 5'2 and usually wear 18 top 16-18 bottom. The fringes hanging down made this dress an OK length while standing still. Although the dress was a bit stretchy, the back of the dress did not lay flat which caused the back of the dress to hike up while walking and raise up to obscene levels while walking up my steps (thankfully that fashion show was done inside the house). The straps seemed a bit longer than it should have been. Im very busty (F cup) which is probably the reason for the ill fit. If you're busty and tall-look for another option. Sadly, it has to go back.

1920s Flapper dress

The sizing of this product should be reviewed. I normally take 2 sizes smaller than what I ordered and it is still too snug. I would have to think twice before ordering something like this again.

Nice dress but, was not meant for me.

I really liked this flapper dress. The only thing was it was too small overall, yet around the neckline was too big. I am returning this dress, it does not fit me, and I bought flapper dress that fit me much better.
