Pain relief

This is a huge help for leg pain. It's cold, but not uncomfortably so, and is easy to get on and off. I like that it comes with a bag so that I can keep it separate from food items in my freezer. If you suffer from joint pain, this is a great tool to have in your arsenal.

Keep the bag for storage in the freezer

I would suggest keeping the packaging because it seems like it would be very easy to tear this open in your freezer unless you can set it directly on top of a chest freezer. This is also a little difficult to get on because of the circumference. My husband doesn't have particularly larger calves but pulling this on was a challenge for him. I haven't tried it because if he couldn't get it on it's not going over my calves. But, I do like it, it's great to have an option that you aren't constantly having to adjust or make sure it's not sliding off or leaking out. It does get and stay nice and cold and has helped with some minor pains.

Good temporary ice sleeve

Kt recovery ice sleeve is a good temporary ice sleeve for minor aches. It's fairly easy to use, stick it in the freezer for a couple of hours and its good to go. It does get fairly cold so I recommend placing it over a thin fabric as direct contact causes discomfort. It lasts about 20-30 minutes cold and must be frozen again. That is why I say it's temporary relief. Overall it's a good ice sleeve for joint aches.

For achy extremities

This cold sleeve is easy to use on minor pain and inflammation and works best in extremities. Just freeze it and I would say you can place another layer of thin towel or cloth to prevent this from having direct contact with your skin which can get uncomfortable. It comes with the sleeve that keeps it colder but I don’t see the point in using that as cold can only be applied 10-15 or it will reverse the effect. It’s not for people who had joint replacement as it will not provide that cold compress. I would say this is a good but if you’re experiencing constant pain and inflammation. I would say over all a fair buy, price seemed fair too.

Freezes so cold

I put this in the freezer and gave it to my husband to use on his sore joints. He took it out and said that it was so cold it actually hurt. I definitely wouldn't be able to use it then. He did enjoy it once it wasn't so painful. He used this on his elbows so I know it easily slid on and hit. He also used it over his hands as they cause him the biggest issues. I'm not sure if it would fit around his knee but I'm hoping it will. I didn't use the insulated bag. I don't see the point in freezing it and then using the insulated bag to keep it cold for an additional 90 minutes. Who knows if you'll actually remember to use it in that time frame. Otherwise this is a nice decent ice pack sleeve. Hopefully my husband will take advantage of it.

Soothing

Found this very soothing. Only 2 hours in the freezer and it’s ready. It comes with a freezer bag / insulated pouch which is great. It maintains the cool for 90 minutes and helps cut down on the absorption of food smells from the freezer. Just be careful not to rip the sealable part when opening. At first this felt very cold but the intensity didn’t last very long. It was soon comfortable. The coolness was ultimately not as intense as other products I’ve tried but it was good enough. I couldn’t adjust the size, thus fittings varied from elbow to knee. But after I thought about it, a product made of such comfortable material felt like a breath of fresh air compared to all the usual Velcro products. I found this sleeve to be surprisingly heavy. It wasn’t as noticeable after I put it on but might make it difficult for some people to maneuver.

Doesn't stay cold long enough

This sleeve fits well and freezes in only a few hours. It's pliable right out of the freezer - a great thing considering it's for joints ... but the relief it offers doesn't last long enough - after about 20 minutes it needs to be re-frozen.

Like a Frostee for your knee

I keep this in the freezer and put it on my sore knee after working out or running. It provides @ 30 minutes of cooling, soothing relief. It remains semi-pliable even when first removed from the freezer and feels good when slipped over my knee. The reusable, resealable package is kind of big, so it takes up a bit of space in my freezer, hence the 4 stars. It is way more useable than an icepack and way more effective than "IcyHot" creams or sprays.
