Great harness for small dog

Great starter harness

The media could not be loaded. This is the first harness I got for my Yorkie as a puppy and I still use it from time to time now, w him being 2 yrs old. I've tried a couple of other harnesses and they don't fit him right, but this one fits him the best. The elastic has worn down, but I do throw this harness into the washer machine so idk if that caused this to happen. The buckle still works well (not too strong or loose; trusty buckle). My dog pulls so I feel like the harness puts too much stress on my dog's neck at times. Other than that, this harness has served me well as a primary and backup harness. [Vid is from 2020 when I first got the harness in the mail. Pic w fire hydrant was a walk in 2020 as a puppy. The other pic is my dog at 2 yrs old in 2022]

I didn’t really like it.

So I bought this for my dog he is a Yorkie but I really didn’t like the quality. The material would have made him sweat while walking and the top part where it closes easily gets destroyed. I would recommend it for someone who’s dog doesn’t have a lot of hair and would need something really quickly to use. Other than that I wouldn’t buy it.

Small size fits my 6lb Chi perfectly.

Fits my chi well and is easy to take on and off. Make sure to measure your pupper because there’s no way to adjust fit. I received a black halter but ordered an orange one. Keeping it anyway but will try to order my preferred color again.

With arthritic hands, the closure is too hard to open and close.

The plastic closure for the item is too hard to open and close and pinches your fingers struggling to get open. Out grew very quick, very tight when purchased for the put at 10 weeks old. Would not recommend.

dog halter

great visibility, fit is secure, but not real adjustable with the d-ring straps, mainly only adjustable with the velcro. I got a small for my 7lb maltese, but could have used a xs. It also fits our sturdy mini dachshund. I like that the leg holes allow a lot of freedom as well as a good v neck so it does not restrict the chest and breathing of the dog when it occasional pulls. It is made of stretch comfort material, but nothing that can come off with undoing the snaps. I did notice the snap hook is still hard to loosen to take the halter off. I reordered a small halter and it has the same problem. Otherwise I really like the halter.

Easy to Use

This harness is not as constricting as some other harnesses. It goes on easily and is made of a stretchy material. But the sizing is not accurate. My dog, who is a small medium needs to wear the large size of this harness. A dog that’s large, or even medium sized would be too big.

Fits well but…

Harness well made and fits perfectly. The clip is very difficult to undo and is frustrating for me.

Guess Work Ordering

I have a medium sized dog and this harness was too small. I am giving it to the dog rescue centre rather than return it. Here’s a revolutionary idea. How about providing weight and girth measurements on your harnesses before people are sent something that doesn’t fit?

Gets the tail wag!

My tiny dog loves this and it arrived as promised,in two days! It was delivered on a Saturday afternoon, which surprised me. My dog is small in the neck, but has a double coat of long fur, so she needed a size medium instead of the small ordered initially, to go around her chest. (The return on the small harness was simple: print the label and place in the mailbox.) This harness is so easy to get on and off that the poor dog couldn't believe all she had to do, after it was unhitched, was to walk out of it! Her tail was held high for the whole walk with this harness, (as opposed to trying to use a different product where it kept slipping around to bind her leg.)

Check sizing. M is basically a Small.

Good for the price, very bright and the reflective piping is very effective. We ordered an M and it turned out to be the same as an S from a similar company. So while it won’t last our 9 week old Labrador puppy for nearly as long as hoped, the product itself is definitely ok...just be sure to check on the sizing. Picture show an M on our 8.5week 14lbs Labrador puppy.

Great harness!

We tried many harness for our 10 lb. Yorkie mix puppy. This one was by far the best. It's easier to put on a rambunctious puppy compared to the others. It's very secure with both the Velcro closure and double D ring latch. The small size was slightly large for our pup when she was 8 lb but it was usable. I would say that it would still be good when she is 12 lb.

Tallas muy reducidas.

Mi perro es un Shih-Tzu que es considerado dentro de las razas chicas/pequeñas y generalmente siempre le compro talla S/CH porque la mediana le queda muy grande, pero esta está demasiado reducida ni siquiera le pudo cerrar, al comprarla debes considerar la talla superior a la que tu mascota necesita.
