Hinges wrong

I did not like the false advertising for this seat. The ad shows a bar hinge and that is not what you get. The ad shows and describes the hinge as Brushed nickel. What you get is a hinge without the bar and made of chrome, not brushed nickel. I am just waiting for the seat hinge screws to come off as listed by other buyers. That would be strike three and the toilet seat goes back to Amazon.

Great product

It's a toilet seat so that is what we used it for. The color is a bit off but we needed the platinum hinges to match the other items in the bathroom. We had a plastic seat before and it wobbles, so this is great and sturdy.

It's a toilet seat review...

I never thought I'd be writing a review for a toilet seat, but here I am... Recently renovated the upstairs bathroom in my 114 year old house, and wanted a wooden toilet seat. It is heavy, well made, and the color works well with the antique oak pieces in the bathroom. Most importantly, I'm happy to report that the bolts that hold the seat to the toilet itself have remained tight.

WE REC'D THIS A WEEK LATE, HAD TO CANCEL & REORDER , DID REC'V THAT IN 3 DAYS . PUT IT IN PLACE. ONLY MY HUSBAND & I LIVE HERE ! 2 DAYS LATER SCREWS TO SEAT PORTION CAME LOOSE , MY HUSBAND HAD TO PUT EPOXY AROUND SCREW HOLES AND REPLACE SCREWS . 2 DAYS LATER LOOSE AGAIN , ALTHOUGH NOT AS BAD , BUT I THINK IT IS JUNK .. NO QUALITY . SOME SLIGHT DIS COLORING ON THE SIDE OF SEAT BOTTOM . WHITE CHAULKY LOOKING . VERY DISAPPOINTED !!!!!!!! WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS ITEM OR COMPANY !!!!!

FALSE ADVERTISING

This listing is completely false advertising. We have multiple Comfort Brand wooden toilet seats in our home, they have the Comfort logo on them. They are high gloss and heavy solid wood, pretty sure they're actually the seat shown. This seat is NOT that. It is a matte finish not high gloss as advertised. It feels very light duty and is definitely not solid wood, which is actually accurate to the description shown. But the hinges are standard NOT a bar hinge as listed. This listing should be taken down and replaced with one that's truthful to the product being sold. Infuriating! Do Not Buy!

none have the bar hinge that isa pictured which are more stable and dont allow twist

ordered a couple that were supposed to have the full bar hinge but did not called the manufacturer and was told of a design change which deleted the bar and no longer made but still pictured in ads composite wood not sturdy screws fall out
