Love this paddle!
After months of research and weighing cost versus benefits I finally settled on this paddle. I just played with this for the first time since it came. This paddle matches my style of play in every way. My dinks have more control and precision. Resets are almost on automatic. I can serve with incredible spin with little effort. At first I thought it might be a little on the light side but after my 4 hour session this morning I feel it's perfect. Incredibly pleased with the comfort of the handle. My last paddle needed an overgrip to feel comfortable. This one is perfect for me right from the start. I just became a big Joola fan!

Great Christmas gift
I purchased these for my father and step mother who are avid pickleball players. After doing a lot of research I settled on these because the brand comes highly recommended by players, and these were a nice middle of the road option - not cheap but not $300 a paddle either. My dad has mentioned that the material really does make a difference from older wood paddles. He said he notices increased sensitivity and an increased bounce off of the paddle, so the carbon material is definitely not marketing hype. They love them so I’d definitely recommend these to anyone looking to upgrade their gear.

Overall good paddle
I certainly felt a higher level of control & precision while using this very lightweight paddle. My only complaint is the power level is rather low, I’m assuming thats due to the weight. However, if your naturally a heavy hitter & need a paddle that tames your power while giving you accuracy this would be an excellent paddle to try!

A great deal at the time of this review!
Wow the price has dropped quite a bit for the holiday season, and if you want to upgrade your paddle to something of quality, this is a great deal (at the time of this review!). I've requested close to 20 of Joola paddle, and only one paddle had an issue of quality so far. The overall quality including the performance of the paddles from Joola is exceptionally good compared to other cheaper paddles. This one is about the average weight with 7.8 oz. Some ladies and especially beginners might want to stay on and under 7.7 oz or so. So this one isn't necessarily a good choice for the beginner with no power and control in my opinion. But probably a great paddle as your second paddle, where you want a bit more power. Again, around $112, don’t hesitate to if you were thinking about it!

A solid step up from the average paddle
Like many new arrivals to pickleball, I spent about $40 on my first paddle, then moved up to an $85 Gamma Atomic paddle favored by the pickleball instructor at my local YMCA. I’ve been happy with the Gamma for a couple of years, but if a higher-level paddle could raise my game a notch, then count me in. That’s why I was happy to get a grip on the Joola Method CGS 14 through Amazon’s Vine program for reviewers. I’ve been using the Method paddle for about three weeks now, playing two to three times a week, and I won’t be putting down any time soon. The first thing I noticed about the paddle is it weight. It's listed at 7.8 ounces, just a fraction less than the Gamma, but enough for me to notice and feel like it was giving me a faster swing. The Method handle is also slightly longer with a ribbed wrap that felt more secure in my hand. But the real Joola story is in the surface of the paddle. Joola says there's a honeycomb core inside that reduces vibration and increases control. That stuff is below the surface so I'll take their word for it. But what I can see, feel and hear is what happens when a ball strikes the paddle head. Instead of a sharp crack, like a baseball on a wooden bat, I hear more of a solid thump that tells me I'm more in control of the ball and it's speed and direction. And I definitely know that this paddle gives the ball a more powerful spin on a backhand slice, which is my only stroke worth talking about. I recruited a couple of guys at the courts where I play to give the Method a test drive. Kevin, who plays once or twice a week, said it felt like a solid step up from the $60 paddle that he always uses. John, who plays every day, like the control he felt when serving. And like me, John also felt that the Joola is very good at generating backspin. This paddle is probably priced a bit high for beginners or casual players. But it's a good choice for those of us who have fallen in love with the game and want to know that our errant shots can no longer be blamed on inferior equipment.
