The future of authentication
Hideez key is a pretty cool invention. I first found it when I was looking for cold storage crypto wallet. It turned out that the keys' primary function is to store your passwords and authenticate you into sites and apps without having to resort to software password managers. Similarly to cold crypto wallets, it makes a lot of sense if you don't trust your PC to remain malware free. The cool thing about Hideez is it has many tricks up its sleeve - 1) it can store both logins and passwords on the key itself, 2) it can act as one-time-password (OTP) generator, so you don't have to resort to phone-based code generators, 3) it supports FIDO WebAuthn standard (many people know it as "Yubikey". Even cooler the device works wirelessly (over bluetooth) and they have now added NFC and made it rechargeable, where's before you had to swap out the battery - which is why I purchased this new version. Doing more reading on their web site, it sounds like they are focusing on the corporate version of the key, which allows corporate users to get rid of having to remember and reset passwords every 90 days (shoot me now) - I wish my company would make use of it! All in all, if you're into secure and passwordless authentication, I highly recommend it - I think a product like this is very underrated and is the future.

I think this is better use for enterprise scenario than personal. Under my expectation per price. 1. Slow connection with PC built-in Bluetooth. Guess better work with bundled one. 2. Password manager not better than browser default one.

Complicated, and batteries don't last
I installed one on each of my two laptops but figuring them out is complicated, and I still don't have them put into use. Also, the batteries are supposed to last approximately six months, but mine does good to last three days, with no use at all. The young lady that attempts to explain how to use them on YouTube, speaks to fast, like she's talking to someone that is already familiar with how they operate. If I ever figure them out, I do think they will be handy.

Way too involved for the money
I had high hopes for this, however it was not the solution for me. While Windows would recognize it and connect, the Vault would not. (The Vault is their software that allows this to function with the computer. Or not, in my case.) Switching to using the Hideez Dongle, well - you have to have the key in contact with the dongle for it to work at all. Once recognized, if it moves more than a foot away, the vault closes and says it isn't available. **EDIT: What shows as a user account on the start screen isn't an actual user. It is the credential storage for Hideez to perform the lock/unlock of your actual user account. (I received a better explanation from the manufacturer to clear that up. /EDIT** Hideez customer support says they have made the correct department aware of all these issues so that none of you may have to repeat my experience. I need to get this thing cleared of my passwords (which I did manage to get stored after 3 days) and returned to Amazon. That or be out $50 for the experience.

You can't view any passwords in manager.
The fact that it does password manager and unlock digital lock . Its great. The problem is you can't view your save password. If you forgot the password you still doom. It does seems to be able to auto fill login fields either. Must initiate the hideez unit every time you turn on your computer. In order to use the app I still think it's not there yet. Practically It still slow. And not much help. Digital key, I don't have use for it. If you want to use with you doors still have to get it program I don't know how the cost will be. And how it's done.

waste of time and money
please dont buy. not worth it at all. doesn't work with windows 11. didn't even bother trying on windows 10. it requires that you reconfigure and install dubious software, use only the blue tooth dongle provided, disable your computer blue tooth. I spent 2 hours trying to get the thing to work. screwed up my computer and had to reset my computer to factory. then i had to set up the computer all over again ... just so i dont have to use a password but a key? total waste of time and money.

Security
Hideez key 4 is an interesting and very useful product. Hardware password manager and FIDO security key in one device covers all my needs for legacy and modern services. After I used it for myself for a while I decided to try Hideez corporate version with a server for our company. Setup is not simple and there were some issues. But all of them have been solved with the Hideez customer service's help. I will update this comment after some time if we face any issues in future, but so far so good.

Autenticazione FIDO2 su PC e Azure/M365
Ho acquistato questa chiave Fido2 per testare l'accesso a Microsoft 365/Azure AD e per accesso MFA al computer Windows 10/11 con Windows Hello for Business. L'ho scelta in alternativa alle chiavi USB Fido 2 di Yubico o Feitian e altri, incuriosito dalla funzionalità di vault per la memorizzazione delle password di accesso a siti Web. Dopo aver configurato il device con la dongle key USB fornita in bundle, ho provato ad utilizzarla direttamente con il bluetooth del PC. Pur se questa configurazione è segnalata in "beta" durante l'installazione dell'applicazione client Hideeez, l'esperienza utente è a mio avviso migliore. L'accesso al PC funziona perfettamente, dopo aver inserito il PIN del device e cliccato sul pulsante del device, si accede a Windows con il doppia fattore di autenticazione e "passwordless". La gestione della password funziona e i campi vengono compilati con la digitazione di una combinazione di tasti. Ottimo il supporto tecnico, che mi ha seguito nella richiesta di togliere la visibilità del "finto account" che appare sulla finestra di accesso a Windows. Preferisco mantenere la stessa esperienza utente per la fase di accesso. (note: rinominare la dll C:\Windows\System32\HideezCredentialProvider3.dll). Altra nota pratica: la registrazione della security key sul portale "Myaccount.microsoft.com" con MS Edge (Chromium) non va a buon fine; con Mozilla firefox si. ;-). Quindi è un prodotto che consiglio, per un uso personale ma anche enterprise e sono felice di dare il mio contributo con una ottima recensione.

pensavo che era piu complicato da usare invece usando la funzione esporta di chrome ho inserito tutte le mie password e posso anche fare il login del mio pc da automatico, pure la disconnessione

Clé de sécurité fiable, facile à utiliser
Petit feedback sur le produit. J'ai acheté cette clé récemment, j'avais besoin de sécuriser mon ordinateur d'une manière simple et efficace. Du coup il est possible de verrouiller et de déverrouiller son appareil à proximité en s'approchant et en s'éloignant. Je l'emploie également comme deuxième facteur à la place de Google authenticator. Pour se connecter, j'ai juste besoin d'appuyer 3 fois sur le bouton. Je peux également gérer plusieurs mots de passe que j'utilise au quotidien. En ce qui concerne les instructions pour l'aide à l'installation, tout est clair. Je n'ai pas rencontrée de problèmes en particulier. Verdict, je recommande, on s'y habitue vite.

Le produit fonctionne mal, et doit se trouver à moins de qq cm du pc pour être capté, l’interface est pas génial, bref a déconseillé tant qu’il ne sera pas plus au point
