Good product; expensive

I'm happy with the product, I just feel it's incredibly expensive for what you get. 96 pieces may seem like a lot, but it's really not. If you can find a cheaper option, that's what I'd go with.

Cool color coins

The media could not be loaded. Looks the same as real coins. Its for reference for my kids to learn and distinguish without holding the real coins. When being played with, it wont leave your hands smelling like metal. Such as with real money. IM HAPPY with my purchase ☺.

Good for teaching about USA currency.

The coins that are supposed to have ridges on the sides have the ridges, and the coins that are supposed to have smooth sides have them. The fronts are very similar to the real ones and so are the backs. It’s enough for children to understand which is which. I got 96 total. I didn’t give it five stars for the accuracy do to the fact that one of the dimes, I chose from the bag, isn’t smaller than the pennie I chose from the bag. They made the dime the same size as the pennie, but the dime has the ridges on the sides and looks like a real dime. The thickness is good because it play money and it adds to the sturdiness. All in all, it will serve the purpose of teaching about USA coins.

Does the job

I teach songs about money in my music class and students make their own money songs. Having the hands-on manipulatives helps them to be more creative and confident. I appreciated the realistic qualities of these coins for students to make clear identifications and correct lyrics for their songs. The dime is very similarly sized to the penny. (The dime could be made smaller.) This was not a problem for my students.

Great play money for our son!

My 7 year old has become fascinated with money, this was perfect for him. He likes to look up who is on each coin and carries them in a treasure box.

Good for practice

These are perfect for practicing counting money. We also picked up the Melissa and Doug wallet and CLEXAVER Educational Play Money Set. Together this is a great way to teach kids at home.

Okay, but expensive.

For the amount of coins for that price a little under $14, is a bit much. I only bought these because I need them as props for a cake. I cannot find US play money or find decent fondant/chocolate US coin moulds in Montréal. I do like how they are somewhat realistic looking.
