Amazing grill pan!

This pan is amazing! Actually, I have been happy with every Gotham Steel pan I've purchased and this wasn't an exception. I have used it many times since I received it and not always very gently. I do recommend keeping the heat to medium. Don't try and make it flaming hot like you would a cast iron skillet. You will get a lovely sear on whatever you are cooking, even at the medium temperature. But what that will do is keep it from permanently marring the pan. I have another Gotham Steel skillet that I was in a rush, turned it up too high, and burned the bijiggers out of it. But guess what? It cleaned up nicely anyway, despite my abuse. It took a bit more elbow grease on that one, and there were some touch and go moments, but it worked! This one I've actually finished the burgers, steaks, and fish, with black stuff all over the pan (because of whatever marinade etc was on the food). Hot water and soap and absolutely no elbow grease, and all was clean. I love Gotham Steel!!! Their products have made my life so much easier! This grill pan is a very nice size. Quite large. But not enormous and not the least bit heavy (again, referencing cast iron skillets). You can fit quite a bit in this pan. I have their square skillet without the ridges and this one is a bit bigger than that one (just in case someone out there has the square skillet and was wondering about the size difference). I use the square skillet without ridges for things like scrambled eggs, bacon, etc. and this one for grilling vegetables and meats when I want the grill lines on the food. It makes nice grill lines. Anyway, I love this pan. I've owned it about 2 1/2 months and have used it quite often. Yet, it still looks as pretty as the day it arrived!

I’m obsessed.

I just got this pan today and made some burgers tonight and they look and nearly taste like they were cooked on the grill. Got that nice crunchy outside and juicy inside. Easily the best burgers I’ve ever made at home. And anybody saying their pan got messed up and the food was sticking definitely had the heat too high! Cooked my burgers on medium/medium-low.

Great grill pan

This cooks beautifully! It’s not very deep (which works for me) but it cooks food fast and evenly. Love that the flavors and moisture don’t run off due to the shallow depth. Makes great lines. Great price. A bit on the heavy side but nothing like a heavy cast iron. Easy to clean. This goes on the holiday list for the fam.

Non-Stick; Sort-Of

This is a decent grill pan, however, in order for the pan to function as a non-stick grill pan, you have to be careful not to cook on the stove top at too high a heat. Whenever I kept the heat at medium or a little higher, any charring that occurred, came off easily AFTER letting it cool on the stove top without soaking. After a half hour or more, then scrubbing is very minimal, and everything comes off easily. The one time I didn't follow this approach, and instead cooked at maximum heat, charring the heck out of the pan, I doused it in water right afterwards and it didn't come off without some very hard scrubbing. So watch your heat and let it cool after cooking. If I were to buy another grill pan, though, I'd probably go with a cast-iron Lodge.

I have only had this pan for a couple of weeks but so far it's fantastic. Nothing sticks, easy clean. I like the metal handle as then I can put it on the BBQ and the handle wouldn't melt. Good size for most things.

good grill for cooking

sometimes it is hard to clean black burns and can cause the color to peel off, but it is expected in this price range. But we love it to cook our frozen burgers, fish, chicken strips and so on, it gives the food the grilling look which is great
