great boots

Just to big not true to size sent back for a smaller size

Great shoe except for ladder work.

Good boot! Very comfortable, and this is not light praise from me. I have trouble finding shoes and boots that fit well and are comfortable. They do take a day of wear to really work in, but now work very well as an everyday shoe. That said, stay away from hours on a ladder. If you are just using the ladder as an avenue to your primary work location, you might be okay. If you are doing something like repairing eaves where you are ON the ladder doing the work, your arches might get sore. Other than that, these are great for me. Nice support, easy on and off, and the leather feels great. They do scuff fairly easily though.

Super comfortable, 2nd time buyer

I had a pair of these Chukka boots that saw heavy use in my shop for several years. Back then all of the customer comments always mentioned how super comfortable they were and the fact that they were sized large so a person should order 1/2 size smaller. Considering the abuse and chemicals I work with those boots were extremely durable for such a lightweight boot. In reality the boots are close to the length their listed size shows. They instead run a bit wide and have foam embedded inside those large soles which is why they are so comfortable for standing on hard surfaces all day. The tread pattern is shallow and not designed for hiking through heavy rocks and mud which also means these shoes won't carry big clumps of mud in with you to later be scattered inside your home. Instead the shallow ribs are good for firm fairly smooth floors like cement, tile, and wood but the tread is flexible enough for "rock hopping" which I sometimes do for my work. Another small bonus is while they don't claim to be waterproof you can stand in 2" deep water for a few minutes and stay dry. Bottom line is if you are looking for all day comfort on hard floors these boots are a great choice.

Comfortable but a bit loose around the heel

Really like these but because of the lower cut just above the ankle they feel a bit loose at the back. My heel tends to lift from the bottom slightly when I walk but I haven't had any problems with excessive rubbing or soreness. . May just need more breaking in. Tying them good and tight helps but eventually they become a bit loose after a time. A cushion around the inside top edge might help if they were about a half inch taller there. Very comfortable, great leather and the soles are awesome. Nice for work or casual wear. A big thumbs up.

I can't say enough good things about these boots. I purchased them around a year ago and they're still going strong.I'm in the construction trade so they get their fair share of abuse, but they are still holding up. The soles have worn down a bit due to being walked on every day, but there's still plenty of tread left, and even the shoe laces themselves have held up! I would definitely recommend these boots to anyone! I have a very wide foot and these came as advertised! I see another pair in the future when these finally give up the ghost. Nice pair of shoes!

The shoes are well made and fit fine, except the rough lining on the right foot rubbed a sore spot on the back of my ankle which I remedied by applying a piece of tape to the rough spot. I also have a pair of Georgia Boots (barcode 4353828670 6) that had a rough edge at the top of the boots and rubbed the wrong way causing sore spots about mid-calf. I like the quality of Georgia boots and will probably buy them in the future.

Excellent boot and quality to match. After returning four boots to Timberland for quality issues I decided to have a look on Amazon. Not only are these boots cheaper, they are superior in quality and built to last. They also are light and look good. Recommend.
