These do an awesome job for the money
For a cheap wire stripper they do a great job! This is my second pair. I gave my first one to my son.

Wire stripping part is good.
The wire stripping part is good but the wire cutter part not so good. Spring doesn't open stripper you still need to manually open. Good for now, I wouldn't buy again.

Works great!
This is the sort of wire stripper that doesn't have "holes" for stripping specific gauge wire. You must sense when you've cut through just the insulation by feel. But that's great for rapid use for those who strip a lot of wire of different gauges and know what they're doing.

I have at least 10 wire strippers, this is the best!
I have one of the Gardener Bender strippers for years and would seek it out when others were right at hand. The dial gauge selector feature is the key. I have purchased other dial gauge strippers but the dial was loosely attached (Klein tools) which would change the size of the opening for the bare wire. I make a lot of cables for mics and pa. I could not find the GB tool at any of the local stores, so I looked on Amazon. I will be ordering a few more to equip all my work locations with this stripper.

Simple and love it
I own a few different wire strippers, but i always go back to this guy. I don't use the little setting, i jsut squeeze a bit and it always cuts the sleeve of wires perfect for me. It's small, fits in jean's pockets and I've always liked these. This is a second pair.

I like using a wire stripper that doesn't require you to use stops for specific gauges (although it does have this feature). I prefer to do this by feel. It takes a bit of practice not to cut too far, but if you can do it you'll speed up. This seems to fit the bill.

Buy the Platinum Tools instead
Wire cutters with the golden ration / nautilus shell / fibonacci / adjustable gear are way better than the ones with the screw adjustment. However, this one has a sliding locking wire on the backside (not shown in the photo) which is rather annoying. If you cut it off it will feel much better, but the handle won't have anything to keep it from springing full open. I'd suggest the Platinum Tools version instead: [...] There must be an error in Amazon's price on that listing though, if you google around you'll find that the Platinum Tools version is as cheap as or cheaper than this Gardner Bender brand everywhere else.

decent, very cheap price
It's fine, I bought this because when I was in school I used a stripper that looked a ton like this, but it is not the same quality, I was a little disappointed, however it works fine for the most part, if you are working with very fine wires I would suggest you get something nicer as it is not super accurate on the sizing
